Job description

The Workday Absence and Time Tracking Senior Principal Consultant (Continuous Value Services) will guide clients through the transformation, implementation and operation phases of a Workday implementation or project. This individual works closely with engagement managers to identify business needs, provides superior client service to our clients and brings forth innovation ideas for new offerings and improvements to our current offerings 

 

Responsibilities: 

  • Identify strategies, risks, and options, recommend approaches and mitigations to meet client/functional requirements. 

  • Work alongside the other functional teams and vendors to configure and test to ensure no impact to their production environment. 

  • Takes a leadership position on a project or as a Cognizant or Workday product Partner Lead and/or Delivery Assurance reviewer. 

  • Perform multiple tasks under limited direction, while regularly keeping the client, your project team, and your Engagement Manager abreast of changes or progress related to the project.

  • Support development and refinement of the Continuous Value Services Cynergy process and materials and drive methodology acceptance and application across projects by all team members. 

  • Become a Workday Absence and Time Tracking Continuous Value Services functional expert with deep knowledge of current functionality, design concepts, touch points with HCM, Payroll, Financials and future product direction. 

  • Act as a mentor to fellow consultants and analysts, including providing support for shadow assignments. 

  • Drive the project or ticket by driving decisions and recommending best practices related to functionality. 

  • Actively participate in update training and internal opportunities to share one’s skills and learnings with others within the organization. 

  • Execute the day-to-day activities of Workday project or tickets for a variety of clients including process design, package implementation lifecycle support, and project reviews. 

  • Lead business development activities such as identification, proposal development, and other pursuit activities. 

  • Additional duties as assigned by manager. 

  

Skills & Requirements: 

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience. 

  • 5+ years experience implementing enterprise management solutions (i.e. Workday, PeopleSoft, SAP, etc.) 

  • 5+ years experience gathering requirements, designing, prototyping, testing, and deploying solutions to meet client requirements. 

  • Experience in or knowledge of Human Resources, Payroll, Absence or Time (Time Tracking, Time Entry, Time & Labor, Time & Attendance) 

  • Workday certification in Time Tracking and/or Absence highly preferred. 

  • Subject Matter Expertise in the respective functional area. 

  • Passion for exceptional client service. 

 





Salary and Other Compensation

The annual salary for this position is between $129,632 - $180,237 depending on the experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program , based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
