Summary
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Senior Automation Test Engineer to join our dynamic team. Reporting to the Lead Automation Engineer/Head of Automation QA, you will help build, maintain, and improve the automated framework across our portfolio of applications. You will work closely with our extended automation team as well as development teams, offshore resources, and business stakeholders to establish a foundation of automated tests to both improve QA efficiency and extend our quality coverage.
Roles and Responsibilities
· Design, develop and maintain robust and scalable automation framework and automated tests for mobile, web, API, and microservices testing.
· Implement, script and execute automated test suites, ensuring comprehensive test coverage and high-quality releases.
· Collaborate with development and QA teams to integrate automation into the CI/CD pipeline for seamless deployments.
· Set up and manage test execution environments, including distributed testing with Playwright, Selenium Grid, or similar tools.
· Analyze test results, identify defects, and provide detailed reports to stakeholders.
· Investigate, debug, and report test failures efficiently, providing timely feedback to technology teams.
· Develop and maintain clear and concise documentation for automation frameworks, test plans, and test results.
· Work closely with distributed teams, ensuring effective communication and collaboration across different locations.
· Contribute to the definition and monitoring of key performance indicators (KPIs) related to automation testing.
· Actively participate in agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives.
What We're Looking For
Required Skills and Experience
· Extensive experience in developing and implementing automation frameworks
· Expertise in OOPs languages like Java, C#, or similar languages.
· Proven ability to design and execute automated tests for RESTful APIs, web applications, and mobile platforms (Appium, XCUITest, Espresso).
· Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines and experience with tools like Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Gradle, and Maven.
· Solid knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) and containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
· Experience with microservices architecture and related testing strategies.
· Proficient in using version control systems (Git/Gitflow).
· Experience with BDD frameworks (Cucumber/Gherkin).
· Strong understanding of SDLC and STLC.
· Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills.
· Strong verbal and written communication skills.
· Experience with JIRA or similar bug tracking tools.
· Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
