Job description

Looking for Sr. Android Developers to join the Huawei Turkey R&D Center and work in the extensive and challenging Petal Maps Project.

As a Senior Developer, you will be responsible for designing, developing and maintaining high-quality Android code for Petal Maps Android Project.

Petal Maps is one of the trending project of Huawei which has more than 1 billion downloads over Google Play, Huawei AppGallery, Apple Market and releases extended Map features to enhance user experiences during navigation and map application usage. We will be quite glad to work with you in Petal Maps project.

To be considered for this role, you should have a strong portfolio showcasing your previous Android app development projects, as well as the following qualifications:

Key Responsbilities

Simply, take the tech lead role of the projects
Managing the repo including MRs/PRs, code reviews and merge into main branch.
Developing new features for the project
Participate in all phases of development, including technical planning, creation, experimentation, analysis and launch.
Provide architectural and technical leadership/guidance
Be able to contribute and prepare to product backlog with technical items.
Actively contribute on team’s knowledge and skill set through knowledge sharing sessions, tech-talks or documents, be a part of the community.
Keep learning and developing both your technical and non-technical skills.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor degree, majoring in computer science or similar fields.
Proficiency in programming language such as Java and Kotlin
At least 5+ years of relevant experience as an Android Engineer
Experience in MVVM, Kotlin Coroutines, Retrofit, Room and RESTful web-services.
Strong experience Android SDK and the Android development ecosystem.
3+ years of experience as a lead developer or team lead of a small team.
Excellent written and verbal skills with strong grasp of English is a must.
Work with a group of the thoughtful, nimble, and driven engineers effectively in a fully remote environment.
