As a Senior Quantum Algorithm Lead, you'll help drive the adaptation, development and evaluation of cutting-edge quantum algorithms, solving problems with a future potential in the insurance industry. Target applications include optimization and machine learning. Your work ranges from curating the problems at the start to estimating the potential benefit of future scaled-up versions based on small-scale experimental evidence at the end. You'll play a key role in the collaboration with external partners from industry and academia.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate within the team and with external partners from industry and academia to review results and justify selected algorithmic solutions

• Identify, research and realize key advances in the relevant areas of quantum computing

• Curate exemplary problems with relevancy to the insurance space and potential for quantum advantage

• Lead quantum computing algorithm development and exploration a technical competency

• Distill scaling properties of algorithm candidates and evaluate potential for quantum advantage

• Establish and update pathways to future business value

• Apply, adapt, and derive algorithms solving the curated problems

• Analyze algorithm performance through and simulations on classical hardware and experiments on diverse quantum hardware

Education

• Masters Degree (Preferred)

Experience

• 10 or more years of professional experience (Preferred)

Supervisory Responsibilities

• This job does not have supervisory duties.

Education & Experience (in lieu)

• In lieu of the above education requirements, an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

Compensation

Compensation offered for this role is $160,000.00 - 235,000.00 annually and is based on experience and qualifications.

The candidate(s) offered this position will be required to submit to a background investigation.
