Summary of Position:
The Associate Manager, Patient Services will hold a key role in the Value and Access team to help build and manage the Scholar Rock Patient Hub and Patient Service offerings. This position will work closely with the Senior Director of Patient Services, Sales, Marketing and Patient Services field teams to create a seamless patient journey for every patient. A mix of experience in managing and evolving Hub programs, success in collaborating with multiple teams, ability to analyze, measure and report the performance of the patient journey, and the technical ability to design and evolve data exchange between channel partners, patient service programs, and Scholar Rock’s Patient Hub will be key to success in this role. The Associate Director, Patient Services, will work cross functionally to ensure the Scholar Rock patient services are delivered compliantly, efficiently and with the SMA patients and Community at the core of every decision.
Position Responsibilities:
Work closely with Sr. Director, Patient Services to manage the patient services programs, scrutinize the performance within the patient journey and manage the program evolution, budget and staffing
Day to day operational oversight of the Scholar Rock patient Hub and other patient services and affordability programs.
Attend multiple weekly meetings/calls with program vendors to ensure projects are appropriately prioritized and completed on time.
Review and update program business rules, standard operating procedures and work with key stakeholders for approvals as appropriate.
Support the Sr. Director of Patient Services in developing: Program evolution strategy, budgeting, and staffing; Patient Support Services; Integration of future projects into offering, when/if required
Detailed understanding of Hub, commercial co-pay, and specialty pharmacy data capabilities and HIPAA compliance requirements
Work cross functionally within Value and Access as well as other key stakeholders (Sales, Marketing, IT, Legal, and Compliance) to ensure Scholar Rock’s Patient Service offerings are compliant and efficient.
Manage relationships with program vendors and monitor performance of KPIs to ensure the optimal patient experience is maintained.
Leverage insights from reporting and ad hoc analytics to understanding of patient programs, access, payer coverage, reimbursement, and patient experience and fulfillment.
Understand and effectively leverage program data assets to provide in-depth insights that drive key decisions and improve patient access to care.
Identify areas of program improvements and gains in effectiveness and efficiencies, prioritize and pull-through necessary actions.
Coordinate field communications related to Scholar Rock’s patient services and ensure Field teams are aligned
Regularly present program results, metrics, and initiatives to leadership and internal teams.
Ability to travel up to 50% of the time
Candidate Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree
5+ years experience in Patient Service roles
Strong Project Management Experience
Experience with a Patient Services Hub, Specialty Pharmacy, and Patient Service Programs
Vendor management and contracting experience
Strong project management experience
Experience with data sets, including data from Specialty Pharmacy, Specialty Distributor, Patient Services Hub, claims, co-pay programs, etc.
Excellent analytical skills with advanced Excel skills required. Proven experience using data visualization and analytical tools such as Tableau and Power BI for dashboards and ad hoc analytics.
Experience with pharmaceutical manufacturer compliance requirements and HIPAA regulations
Ability to adjust to changing needs within the organization and flexibility to change priorities as needed.
