About the Role:

Bryant Park Consulting is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our growing finance team. This role will be crucial in supporting the financial operations of our professional services firm, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and compliance. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of accounting principles, excellent analytical skills, and prior experience working within a professional services environment.

Responsibilities:

  • General Ledger Accounting:
    • Assist in the month-end and year-end close processes, including preparing journal entries, reconciliations, and financial statements.
    • Maintain and reconcile bank and general ledger accounts, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
    • Analyze and research account variances and discrepancies.
    • Prepare and review monthly accruals
  • Accounts Payable/Receivable:
    • Process accounts payable invoices and payments, ensuring timely and accurate disbursements.
    • Manage accounts receivable, including invoicing, collections, and reconciliations.
    • Maintain vendor and client records.
  • Project Accounting:
    • Track project costs and revenue, ensuring accurate allocation and reporting.
    • Assist in the preparation of project profitability reports.
    • Monitor project budgets and variances.
  • Financial Reporting and Analysis:
    • Prepare and analyze financial reports, providing insights into financial performance.
    • Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts.
    • Support internal and external audits.
  • Compliance:
    • Ensure compliance with accounting principles, internal controls, and regulatory requirements.
    • Assist in the preparation of tax filings and other regulatory reports.
  • Professional Services Specific Duties:
    • Accurate time tracking and billing reconciliation for professional services rendered.
    • Understanding of revenue recognition principles related to project-based services.
    • Experience with billing software and project management systems commonly used in professional services.
    • Assist with the tracking of billable and non-billable hours.
    • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy in accounting operations.

Qualifications:

  • Essential:
    • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field.
    • Minimum of 2-3 years of accounting experience, preferably in a professional services environment (consulting, legal, etc.).
    • Strong understanding of GAAP.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, SAP, etc.).
  • Desirable:
    • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
    • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.  
Annual Salary: $62,000,000 - $68,000,000 CLP
 
In accordance with the Colorado Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, the approximate annual base compensation range is listed above. The actual offer, reflecting the total compensation package and benefits, will be determined by a number of factors including the applicant's experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity among our team.
