Our client is an AI-powered operations platform transforming how brokers, residential service providers, and real estate agents communicate and run their businesses. Their AI assistant handles lead generation, client communication, scheduling, and more—seamlessly working across SMS, email, voice, and real-time chat. With powerful vector search, natural language processing, and deep third-party integrations, the product automates what others can’t.

As we scale, we're seeking a Senior Integrations Engineer to take full ownership of our external service integrations and help shape the reliability, security, and performance of the systems that make our AI platform truly intelligent.

Position Overview:

You’ll focus exclusively on integrating, maintaining, and scaling third-party services that power our platform—from AI providers to comms APIs to document intelligence. You won’t be asked to spread yourself across the entire stack—you’ll go deep on a key pillar of the platform: integrations. This role demands depth, independence, and systems-level thinking. Your work will be treated not as one-off tasks, but as critical infrastructure—with full autonomy, ownership, and the ability to influence how we connect with the world.

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

• Develop and enhance front-end features using React and Angular
• Own the design, implementation, and maintenance of third-party integrations (Twilio, OpenAI, Postmark, Google Vision, etc.)
• Architect reliable, scalable, and secure interfaces for external services across a Ruby on Rails (API-only) application
• Monitor, log, and debug data flow between our system and partners, ensuring resilience and graceful failure handling
• Collaborate closely with AI, frontend, and product teams to design integration-first feature sets
• Work with background processing (Sidekiq) to manage queues, retries, and job orchestration around API usage
• Extend and maintain clean API contracts using Grape, Grape-Entity, and Grape-Swagger
• Help build internal tooling and abstractions for faster development and testing of new integrations
• Stay current on API changes, quotas, rate limits, and SDK updates from our partners

WHO YOU´RE:

• 4+ years of experience with React and/or Angular
• 5+ years of experience in backend or fullstack development, ideally using Ruby on Rails (API-only) along with Grape and Grape-Entity for API design.
• You have a proven track record owning complex third-party integrations with platforms like Twilio (SMS/voice), Postmark (email), Google Cloud Vision, and Pusher (real-time).
• You’re deeply familiar with API design, including rate limits, retries, and webhook architecture.
• You’re comfortable working with background job frameworks like Sidekiq and Sidekiq-Cron for async processing, and have a strong grasp of the security and privacy considerations related to third-party data sharing.
• You bring experience—or strong interest—in AI and NLP, particularly through technologies such as the OpenAI API, vector search, and semantic chunking, supported by modern data tools like PostgreSQL with pgvector.
• Your testing discipline is solid, relying on TDD and automation with tools like RSpec and Guard, and you're confident in your debugging and monitoring skills. You’re also comfortable working in DevOps environments using Docker and GitHub Actions, and are eager to contribute to building observability practices—monitoring/logging tools are open to your expertise.
• Bonus: If you've built internal integration frameworks or developer tooling to accelerate and scale development workflows.
