About the Role

We’re looking for a Principal Mobile Engineer to help lead the technical vision for our consumer-facing native mobile applications, with a primary focus on iOS (Swift) and working knowledge of Android (Kotlin). You’ll play a key role in shaping the mobile strategy, evolving our architecture, and mentoring a talented team of engineers building features used by millions.

This is a high-impact, cross-functional role for someone who is equally passionate about elegant engineering and empowering user experiences. You’ll work closely with Product, Design, Data Science, and other Engineering teams to bring Stitch Fix’s mobile-first experiences to life.

You're excited about this opportunity because you will…
  • Lead technical strategy and architectural decisions for our native mobile apps, focusing on the iOS platform.
  • Collaborate across teams to deliver innovative, scalable features that drive personalization, conversion, and long-term client engagement.
  • Provide technical mentorship and thought leadership to mobile engineers across iOS and Android platforms.
  • Partner with Android engineers to ensure platform parity, shared best practices, and consistent client experiences.
  • Drive continuous improvement in performance, stability, and code quality across mobile codebases.
  • Stay ahead of mobile industry trends and help Stitch Fix leverage modern frameworks, tools, and practices.
We’re excited about you because…
  • You have 8+ years of professional experience in mobile development with a strong emphasis on iOS (Swift, UIKit/SwiftUI).
  • You have production experience building and maintaining native Android apps (Kotlin).
  • You have a deep understanding of iOS architecture patterns, performance tuning, and Apple’s design best practices.
  • You have a proven ability to influence architecture and long-term engineering direction across teams or functions.
  • You have a track record of mentoring engineers, providing thoughtful code reviews, and fostering technical growth.
  • You have experience working in cross-functional teams and collaborating with Product, Design, and Data partners.
  • You have familiarity with modern tools and pipelines: CI/CD, unit/UI testing, instrumentation, crash analytics.
  • You have strong communication skills and a passion for solving real user problems with simple & effective mobile solutions.
Why you'll love working at Stitch Fix...
  • We are a group of bright, kind people who are motivated by challenge. We value integrity, innovation and trust. You’ll bring these characteristics to life in everything you do at Stitch Fix.
  • We cultivate a community of diverse perspectives— all voices are heard and valued.
  • We are an innovative company and leverage our strengths in fashion and tech to disrupt the future of retail.
  • We win as a team, commit to our work, and celebrate grit together because we value strong relationships.
  • We boldly create the future while keeping equity and sustainability at the center of all that we do.
  • We are the owners of our work and are energized by solving problems through a growth mindset lens. We think broadly and creatively through every situation to create meaningful impact.
  • We offer comprehensive compensation packages and inclusive health and wellness benefits.
