Position Overview: AKAM is seeking a Risk Manager with experience in Commercial Condo/Coop Habitational Insurance to assist the Director of Risk Management overseeing insurance on 500 Properties in NY & FLA. This is a remote position.

Responsibilities

    • Evaluate existing coverages, explain and make recommendations as needed
    • Work with Insurance Brokers, Property Managers, Condo/Coop Boards, internal team and others on insurance issues
    • Phone & Video meetings with above for all aspects insurance related; coverage discussion, claims handling, renewal marketing & presenting, etc
    • Some Virtual Board meetings in evenings


Qualifications

    • Public Speaking ability a must to present to Condo/Coop Board virtually
    • Ability to understand, analyze, and research different lines of insurance
    • Detail oriented with good mathematical and communication skills
    • Superior customer service skills
    • Proficient in Excel, Word and Outlook


Required Experience

    • P&C Licensed
    • Required Experience: Minimum 5-7 years with Condo/Coop Habitational lines servicing experience
    • Required Education: Bachelor's degree (4-year degree)
    • Required Travel: Negligible
