Reporting into the Director, PR & Corporate Communications, the Content and Communication Coordinator supports internal and external communication and content management in alignment with our brand and messaging strategy. You will help to coordinate the day-to-day creation of materials using your writing and editing skills, agency resources, and other in-house design and marketing resources. Your efforts will be instrumental in growing our digital footprint across channels for awareness, lead generation, and supporting the deal lifecycle.

To be qualified for this role, you have:

  • A bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, Journalism, English, or a related field.

  • 3-5 years of relevant experience in a communications, content marketing, or internal communications role.

  • Strong writing and editing skills. You have strong command of grammar, style, and tone; able to draft, edit, and proofread internal communications, marketing emails, blog posts, and executive summaries.

  • Content Management Systems (CMS) experience using platforms like WordPress to publish and optimize blog content (basic SEO and readability best practices).

  • Familiarity with Intranet tools such as SharePoint, Staffbase, or Viva Engage for internal communication and content governance.

  • Experience with Email Marketing Tools: Experience drafting and formatting internal and marketing emails using tools like Staffbase, Outlook, or marketing automation platforms.

  • Experience with Design Software: You have basic design experience using tools like Canva for simple graphics, slide design, and branded visuals.

  • Experience with Collaboration & Project Management Tools: You are comfortable using Microsoft Office Suite, Outlook Calendar, Forms, and shared drives; familiarity with content calendars and timelines.

  • Strong communication skills. You have strong verbal and written skills with the ability to convey messages clearly across various platforms and formats.

  • Organization and attention to detail: You can manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and ensure accuracy and consistency in all content.

  • Collaborative and Team-Oriented: You work well with cross-functional teams including marketing, design, operations, and client-facing teams.

What you will be doing:


Employment Branding and Recruitment Marketing:

  • Social Media Content Creation: Proactively seeking opportunities to highlight Availity’s culture and employment brand. Draft and upload content to internal social platforms, ensuring alignment with brand voice and partnership with the Digital Marketing team as needed.

  • Viva Engage Content Management: Leveraging Viva Engage for content distribution, ensuring information is shared effectively across the organization.

  • Photo Repository: Creating a photo repository of associates to be used in various initiatives throughout the year.


Event and Communication Management:

  • Base Holiday Posts and Internal Events: Planning and executing holiday posts and internal events, ensuring they align with company culture and objectives. Posting internal events to the internal events page. 

  • Creating Meeting Invites/Webinars/Forms: Developing and distributing meeting links and Forms for webinars and other internal meetings.

  • Outlook Calendar Invites: Creating, managing, and sending Outlook calendar invites to ensure all stakeholders are informed and meetings are well-coordinated.


Content and Feedback/Publishing Management:

  • Associate Spotlights: Highlighting associate achievements through regular spotlights, fostering a culture of recognition and motivation. Interview and content writing for spotlights. 

  • Availity Base Governance: Maintaining a well-organized and accurate Availity Base by overseeing content management. Proactively removing outdated documents, pages, and sites, ensuring up-to-date and relevant information. Collaborating with site stakeholders to verify content accuracy. Supporting teams in developing new sites and establishing a governance framework for effective SharePoint management.

  • Cross-functional alignment: Be aware of projects the broader team is working on to determine the need for internal communications based on content team’s work and vice versa. 

  • SME and Client Feedback Integration: Collaborating with subject matter experts and client-facing teams to gather and incorporate feedback on various thought leadership materials, such as blogs, bylines, case studies, eBooks, etc.

  • Blog Publishing and Optimization: Formatting and publishing blogs in WordPress, applying SEO and readability best practices to ensure content is optimized for search visibility and user engagement.

  • Internal Enablement: Creating internal talking points and summaries to help commercial and client-facing teams effectively leverage thought leadership and content assets.

  • Campaign Support and Email Content Development: Writing and editing content for demand generation emails, webinar promotions, event invitations, and retargeting campaigns, aligning with campaign goals and brand voice.

  • Content Calendar and Project Coordination: Helping maintain the content calendar, track deadlines, and coordinate content production timelines in collaboration with designers, SMEs, and marketing stakeholders. 

  • Performance Reporting: Partnering with Marketing Operations to define and track KPIs for thought leadership materials. Support the development of reports and dashboards to evaluate content performance, inform strategy, and highlight impact across channels.


Graphic Design and Swag Management:

  • Graphic Design Liaison: Coordinating with graphic designers for content creation and manage requests for branded materials (swag).

  • Graphics Design Work: Assisting with slide design for major internal events such as All Associate Meeting. Create graphics in Canva for intranet and internal newsletters.

Special Projects and Additional Support:

  • Develop SOPs: Creating Standard Operating Procedures for Corporate Communications projects.

  • Cross training: Serving as back-up/provide additional support as bandwidth allows. Create, format, send emails from our Internal Comms system.

  • Internal Events: Helping support logistics for internal events (AAM, Webinars, Town halls).
