Who will you be working with?

As part of our Operations Excellence (OPEX) team, you will play a crucial role in driving standardization across Wabtec in key areas such as Industry 4.0, Lean, Global Materials, SIOP, and Supplier Development. In your role within the OPEX Global Materials Digitization team, you will collaborate closely with our OPEX Integration Leaders, Pillar Leaders, Supply Chain and IT teams at Wabtec sites worldwide to Develop and Integrate Analytics and Apps that are Fundamental to the Global Materials OPEX Journey.

How will you make a difference?

As a member of the OPEX Digitization Team, you will be responsible for the overall design, development, testing, documentation, maintenance and integration of Data Solutions and ETL Jobs, applied to the Process improvement and Lean practices in the Supply Chain domain. This professional will be supporting Wabtec Global users across the Globe.
 

What do we want to know about you?

• Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Information Technology, Computer Science or Engineering related degree

• Minimum of 2 years of IT experience in SQL design & optimization for data retrieval from Database Systems

• Minimum of 2 years of IT experience in BI Reports Development.

• Able to fluently speak and write in English (Score 600 or higher TOEFL or equivalent)

• Demonstrated oral and written communication skills

• Ability to work cross functionally and handle multiple projects / tasks

• Minimum 2 years of business experience on:

• Databases: Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server or PostgreSQL

• BI Platforms: Power BI, Qlikview, etc.

• Microsoft Office Advanced Use

What will your typical day look like?

  • Analyze Business requirements and user problems, builds detailed design, development, testing, implementing, performance tuning and enhancements of OPEX Digitization Team ETL Jobs required for Analytics and Software Products
  • Work with customers to solve technical issues on existing BI Portfolio .
  • Work with the Wabtec Data & Analytics teams in the company to ensure the team’s Data is accurate and stored with the proper format to be retrievable for consumption by the team’s Analytics and Software Products
  • Act as Official Contact Point with the Wabtec IT teams to ensure team’s ETL Portfolio, Design Platforms and Implement Strategies are aligned to Wabtec IT approved policies and security standards
  • Present projects and developments Status to Customers and Functional Managers
  • Other duties as assigned
