LMFT Opportunity in an Outpatient Setting (California)

Location: Carlsbad, California

Salary: $90,000.00 - $100,000 per year + benefits

Employment Type: Full-Time

Schedule: Monday-Friday (9 AM – 5 PM)

Practice Setting: Group Practice / Community Mental Health

About the Job:

We are expanding—and we're looking for an empathetic, skilled Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) to join us in making a difference, one client at a time.

As an LMFT in our outpatient practice, you will provide direct clinical services to individuals, couples, and families dealing with a range of emotional, relational, and behavioral challenges. You’ll work collaboratively with a team that values professional growth, authenticity, and ethical excellence.

As a Remote LMFT, you’ll:

  • Conduct intake assessments, diagnostic evaluations, and individualized treatment planning
  • Deliver high-quality, evidence-based psychotherapy (individual, couples, family)
  • Maintain timely and accurate documentation in compliance with California laws and insurance regulations
  • Collaborate with other clinicians and support staff in a warm, team-oriented environment
  • Participate in case consultations, clinical supervision (if applicable), and staff trainings
  • Uphold ethical standards and maintain client confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA and BBS regulations

Requirements

  • Licensed in California as a Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in good standing
  • Minimum of 1–2 years of post-licensure clinical experience (associate-level applicants may be considered in some cases)
  • Proficiency in working with diverse populations, including BIPOC, LGBTQIA+, and neurodivergent clients
  • Strong clinical skills in evidence-based modalities such as CBT, DBT, EFT, EMDR, or trauma-informed approaches
  • Comfortable with EMR systems and virtual therapy platforms (e.g., SimplePractice, Zoom)
  • Bilingual/multilingual a plus (Spanish, Mandarin, Vietnamese, Farsi, etc.)
