Mutualink is currently seeking an Executive Director of Operations to join and lead our Operations team. This key position is responsible for leading and directing Manufacturing, Customer Support, Partner Support, Field Operations & Training, and providing guidance and consulting with senior leadership to determine business goals and initiatives. This person will set departmental objectives aligned to business goals set by senior leadership and disseminating expectations to departmental personnel. The business goals will be tracked, and results reported to senior leadership. Periodic departmental goal reviews will be made to ensure continued alignment to business strategy and continued success. This position requires good communication skills with solid leadership skills, a background in LMR radio, IP Interface, and computer-based products preferred. Must be a leader with a strong blend of both strategic and tactical approaches to operational and business objectives, leveraging their background and experience to drive results via credibility, influence and leadership by example.
Must be a data / metrics driven leader to drive achievement of departmental goals. Lean processes, continuous improvement, and use of AI is a plus. Must be able to motivate a diverse work force to achieve goals through mutual respect and teamwork. This position requires the knowledge of ERP functionality from opportunity tracking, production planning and scheduling, creating production workorders, production cost accounting, tracking and workorder analysis, to shipping and receiving. Also required is knowledge of electronic product manufacturing practices and principles with basic knowledge of the interactions of LMR radio and IP interfaces.
Responsibilities:
Directing Manufacturing and supply chain operations, Customer Support, Training, and Field Operations with emphasis on quality, service, cost, and safety
Lead by example to drive and sustain the cultural and technical change necessary to achieve the company’s growth
Assist in creating and overseeing annual departmental budgeting with monthly tracking of actuals creating annual operational and strategic plans
This role will participate in the development of long-term business strategies and short-term business planning, translating overall company business strategy into operational goals and objectives. This role will establish key measurements and develop/implement plans to achieve targets
Responsible for all phases of manufacturing efficiency, including scheduling from forecasted sales, control of costs, inventory, burden rate, material and manufacturing variances, cost analysis, etc.
This role will have responsibility for the management of the people resources through good practices, employee appraisal and employee success working with HR on any employee issues including but not limited to hiring, dismissals, annual reviews and salary adjustments
This role will utilize strategic sourcing processes to develop and implement strategies to achieve quality, cost and delivery expectations for direct materials and identifies new outsourcing opportunities where feasible.
Field product and system installation knowledge with the ability to qualify field installation outsource providers
Budgeting multiple projects with monitoring and cost controls
Prepare and present Operational reports for C-suite stakeholders
Required Skills:
Bachelor Degree Required; MBA Preferred
8-10 years of operations managerial experience
Proven strategic planning and budgeting experience
Demonstrated experience setting, monitoring, and achieving quarterly and annual goals
Strong problem-solving skills
Working knowledge of 6Sigma principals desired, certification preferred
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Excellent interpersonal skills, energy and the ability to lead and motivate others
Ability to work under pressure of multiple projects and deadlines, sometime with conflicting requirements
Ability to effectively prioritize workload and manage changes in direction and priority
Ability to develop, interpret and apply required policies and procedures
Ability to address tactical business shortcomings with strategic solutions
Experience using AI in operations and technical implementations a plus
Knowledge of LMR radio and IP interfaces.
Experience with Agile and Waterfall Delivery a must.
Experience with large scale Federal Program Governance a plus.

Compensation:
We offer a competitive compensation and benefits package (Health, Vision, Dental and Group Life Insurance, 401K Plan, PTO, and Holiday Pay), a great team to work with and a mission that you can be part of that will absolutely make a difference. This position offers a fixed annual base salary. Promotional and advancement opportunities are available to reach top pay. For informational purposes only, the salary range for an Executive Director of Operations begins at $135,000.00, with a mid-range of $152,500.00 and a top pay of $170,000.00. This pay range can be modified at any time at the sole discretion of the Company and does not include variable, performance-based compensation which can be applicable.
