Job description

Job Description - FP&A & Strategic Finance Position

FP&A & Strategic Finance Analyst
Location: Base in Ciudad de México, Miguel Hidalgo (Hybrid). Fully Remote possible for the right talent.
Reports to: VP of Finance

At Solvento, we’re building the financial platform for Mexico’s trucking industry — and we’re looking for an exceptional FP&A & Strategic Finance Analyst to join us at the heart of it all.

This isn’t your typical analyst role. You’ll work as the right hand to the VP of Finance, helping shape the financial strategy and infrastructure that will take us from Series A to Series B — and ultimately, to IPO.

You’ll play a mission-critical role in building a high-performance finance function at a company that combines technology, lending expertise, and capital markets sophistication to transform a multi-billion-dollar industry.

This is a rare opportunity to operate at the intersection of finance, strategy, and execution in one of Mexico’s most exciting fintech startups.

What You’ll Do:

  • Build and own the company’s financial model — including P&L, cash flow, and balance sheet forecasts.
  • Lead monthly reporting, performance analysis, board materials, and investor communications.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams (Product, Growth, Ops, Credit) to define KPIs and keep teams accountable on their objectives.
  • Deep dive into unit economics, identify growth levers, and support capital allocation and strategic decisions.
  • Help with capital raising efforts (both debt and equity).
  • Help design and implement the finance tech stack, processes, and culture that will scale with the business.

What We’re Looking For:

  • 3–5 years of experience in FP&A, investment banking, private equity, management consulting, or a high-growth startup.
  • Strong financial modeling and analytical horsepower — you break down complexity and tell the story behind the numbers.
  • Proficiency in SQL — you’re comfortable pulling and manipulating data on your own
  • Strategic thinker with incredible attention to detail — you zoom out, but love getting into the weeds.
  • Comfortable with ambiguity and intensity — you’re curious, resourceful, and thrive in fast-paced environments
  • Passion for fintech and excitement to help build something from the ground up.

Why Solvento:

  • You’ll learn faster than anywhere else. You’ll work on real, high-stakes problems from day one. And you’ll be surrounded by smart, ambitious people who care deeply about building something great.
  • If you’re looking for an accelerated career in finance and want to help build something iconic — we’d love to meet you!.
