Job Description

Job Requirements:

  • Experience (mandatory) preparing data for Registered Apprenticeship Reporting [RAPIDS]
  • Bachelor's degree (master's advantageous) in education (preferred) or a related field
  • Three (3) years of official supervision of remote employees
  • Prior work favored with federal and/or state funded partnerships
  • Demonstrated background in B2B relationship maintenance
  • History with external organization partnerships, alternative paths to licensure, and/or Apprenticeships
  • Three (3) years related experience in areas such as developing and implementing policies/procedures
  • Ability to travel up to 20% of time to Salt Lake City, UT and various locations

Responsibilities:

  • Serves as the primary contact for new developing CRAFT partnerships and align internal WSE team into the operationalization for the student experience.
  • Develops and executes strategies to effectively train, onboard, and engage internal WGU teams on new partnerships coming into the School of Education through an internal funnel process that aligns with the regional vertical, government relations and advancement opportunities.  
  • Communicates regularly with various internal departments; Enrollment, Mentoring, Clinical Experience, District Partnerships, Teacher Licensure, Academy, Compliance and Accreditation as well as external partners to coordinate efforts and support teacher candidates participating through various partnerships.
  • Hires, manages, coaches, and actively develops direct reports’ accountability tracking through established WGU and performance management processes.
  • Responsible for training, supporting, and mentoring a team in project and product management best practices and by delegating and managing assigned projects and tasks.
  • Responsible for supporting and managing a team that is responsible for managing multiple partnership portfolios that include multiple products and student touchpoints.   
  • Works closely with internal grants, billing and financial aid teams during the onboarding of new partnerships to ensure alignment in process and during the partnership to address any partnership concerns. 
  • Serves as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) of state and district partnership requirements and accurately relays state specific program, licensure and placement requirement information as received from Academic Engagement (AcE).
  • Maintains a working knowledge of assigned state policies, licensing requirements, and department-specific policies and procedures.
  • Collaborates with District and Funded Partnerships Logistics Coordinator and Portfolio Data Analyst to review data and determine appropriate data points needed to support a proactive team approach and create documents and processes that will aid in the efficiency of the Funded Partnerships team. 
  • Ensures security and storage of all documents, policies, and procedures to maintain the historical record to respond to data requests State and Federal Agencies, Academic Engagement (AcE), Advancement or other WGU Departments.
  • Drives delivery and success of partner health checks, manages state and federal reporting including RAPIDS reporting, and manages any complaints/escalations.
  • Collaborates with Senior Manager as well as Academic, Product and Marketing teams to align on execution of customer experiences, implementing any requested opportunities for select partner product review and feedback 
  • Supports in the facilitation of partnership kickoff meetings in order to define clear action steps and develop and accountability processes. 
  • Supports the Senior Manager of District and Funded Partnerships in growing and leading the department as needed per company vision and strategy, traveling on-site as needed to support internal and regional opportunities. 
  • Develops strategic plans to adapt as the field of education changes, additional state or accreditation requirements arise, and the WGU School of Education grows.
  • Manages and monitors team functions and efficiencies by creating and using various reports and dashboards.
  • Manages, collaborates, and coaches team members regarding best practices in managing partnership processes, collaborating with WSE legal team on professionalism when working with external partners.
  • Maintains and communicates a clear view of organizational metrics and progress to the Senior Manager, including recommendations and needs
  • Supports the Senior Manager in planning, budgeting, and reporting on School of Education partnership development, initiatives, and performance for annual and quarterly goals. Provides reports and data analysis for the District and Funded Partnerships and Clinical Experience Department.
  • Attends partnership meetings to support team in agreement language and negotiation.
  • Attends partnership meetings to support conflict resolution and ensures that proper WGU School of Education leadership is aware and able to provide guidance or input.
  • Develops, manages, and shares best practices and methodologies for successful Partnership engagements throughout the partner lifecycle
  • Supports in the establishment and tracking of key metrics and objectives for School of Education partnership implementation and management.
  • Provides thought leadership and support for partnership growth
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

  • Must have knowledge of enrollment, WGU academy, mentoring, billing and all aspects of clinical experiences or practicum to ensure all requirements are met.
  • Strong ability to analyze and review processes that align with financial, legal, and accreditation requirements.  
  • Proven skills in cross-functional collaboration, stakeholder communication, and resource coordination.  
  • Knowledge of higher education, funding mechanisms, and regulatory standards, particularly within online and competency-based education models.  
  • Proficiency in project management tools, reporting systems, and communication platforms.  
  • Must have excellent interpersonal, communication, and conflict-resolution skills.
  • Ability to communicate knowledgeably with external partners.  
  • Exercises good judgment to organize, prioritize, and perform multiple job functions and conflicting priorities.
  • Must be able to review and understand partnership agreement language and effectively communicate WGU School of Education requirements.
  • Must be knowledgeable and able to relay information regarding program, accreditation, and state and federal partnership requirements.
  • Must be able to accurately relay information regarding WGU School of Education programs, clinical experience requirements and partnership processes.
  • Must be able to work collaboratively with team members and the WGU legal team to redline partnership agreements and ensure state and program requirements are met.
  • Must keep abreast of the current education research and requirements associated with Work Based Learning and teacher licensure pathways.
  • Must be able to conduct research and draw valid conclusions. 
  • Provides accurate information and high-quality customer service.
  • Must have extensive knowledge of the district and school functions.
  • Must have strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present information clearly and accurately.

  • Compiles data to support operational planning and the budget process.

Ensures proper training of team members and participates in hiring, firing, and promotion decisions. Conducts performance reviews and may recommend salary reviews.

Position & Application Details
