Compensation Range

Annual Salary: $80,000.00 - $94,500.00 (Amount based on relevant experience, skills, and competencies.)

About This Job

The main purpose of this job is to perform project management activities for diverse and technically complex initiatives across lines of business and Servicing and Support areas including Direct Lending, Indirect Lending, Bankcard, Commercial Lending, Commercial Payments, Mortgage, Corporate Finance, IT, Marketing, Legal/Compliance, EABI, and Loan Servicing.

Essential Functions

  • Assist in training new team members 

  • Provide guidance on documentation deliverables and best practices or approach

  • Serve as a mentor to other team members and assist in developing their project management skillset 

  • Drive complex or strategic projects to successful completion

  • Facilitate the processes and procedures required to provide effective project management services to meet project commitments and deliverables for cross-functional teams

  • Define project vision, develop business and technical requirements, and assess resource capacity and schedules

  • Manage activities and tasks necessary to drive projects to completion and ensure project objectives are met

  • Develop project documentation in accordance with the defined project methodology, facilitate meetings, monitor risks and issues, and provide proactive communication to the business stakeholders

  • Provide clear communication on progress, feedback, and work to build relationship with project team and business partners

  • Perform other duties as assigned

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required

  • Strong knowledge of the project management field, including best practices

  • Strong knowledge or understanding of the following: Microsoft Office / Project, TFS, Visio, Planview and other reporting/schedule defining tools

  • Intermediate familiarity with both Waterfall and Agile Methodology

  • Ability to rely on extensive experience and judgement to plan and accomplish complex tasks

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to lead through influence

  • Strong executive presence and the ability to think strategically and provide thought leadership

  • Ability to navigate the IT Project Oversight processes for strategic and major projects including Planview tracking, providing High Attention updates and support of the Business Canvas Map development

  • Ability to work independently with limited oversight

  • Motivated and organized self-starter with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities

  • Inquisitive, agile and strong team player with excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills

  • Ability to remain adaptable and resilient to all situations with an optimistic outlook and cast a positive shadow that is aligned with our culture and Core Values

  • Intermediate level proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in business management, a related field or equivalent combination of education and experience required

  • 4+ years project management experience required

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred

At Commerce, compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each situation. A reasonable estimate of the current base pay is $80,000 to $94,500 annually.
