Job description

Position Summary:

We are actively seeking a skilled Revit Drafter. This role is pivotal in translating initial concept designs into meticulous working documents using CAD software. We require an individual with a proficient command of AutoCAD and Revit, possessing a keen eye for detail and a genuine enthusiasm for design. The ideal candidate will collaborate closely with design teams and architects, striving to deliver comprehensive schematics that not only meet but exceed project expectations.

Responsibilities:

  • Undertake intricate design and drafting tasks with a high degree of proficiency and autonomy.
  • Translate written specifications provided by Sales, Project Managers, and Homeowners into detailed drawings and models.
  • Collaborate closely with direct supervisors to ensure precision in models, adherence to drafting standards, and thoroughness in design documentation.
  • Execute project tasks efficiently within defined scope, budgetary constraints, and timelines.
  • Manage the processing of revision requests for drawings and renderings.
  • Prepare, submit, and oversee permit packages for regulatory approval, maintaining diligent follow-up with relevant jurisdictions.
  • Facilitate the acquisition of engineer-certified "wet stamp" documents as required.
  • Coordinate seamlessly with engineering firms to produce and finalize environmentally critical area reports.
  • Develop comprehensive site plans for construction projects, ensuring alignment with regulatory requirements and project specifications.
  • Skillfully draft and render designs for residential construction projects, maintaining a commitment to quality and precision throughout the process.

Qualifications:

  • Associate degree in drafting technology or a related field, or equivalent combination of experience and education.
  • Prior drafting experience is essential, with proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit software.
  • Competent in both 2D and 3D modeling, possessing a solid grasp of drafting techniques and principles.
  • Familiarity with building codes, zoning regulations, and fire codes.
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple projects concurrently and adapt to shifting priorities.
  • Exemplary attention to detail and robust problem-solving skills.
  • Outstanding communication and collaboration abilities.
