Job Summary: The Digital Editor for Roads & Bridges is responsible for shaping and executing a dynamic, multi-platform editorial strategy that supports the brand’s digital growth and audience engagement. This role oversees the editorial calendar for the website and print magazine while driving digital-first content creation.


Essential Job Functions:

  • Develop and manage editorial content across digital platforms, including website, e-newsletters, and social media channels.
  • Monitor and analyze website traffic and engagement metrics using tools such as Google Analytics and social media insights to inform content strategy and identify opportunities for growth.
  • Edit and publish multimedia content, including audio for the Roads & Bridges podcast and video content for the website and social channels.
  • Operate and grow the brand’s presence across major social media platforms, ensuring consistent voice, engagement, and performance tracking.
  • Travel to industry trade shows and events to conduct interviews, record videos, and report on relevant topics.
  • Collaborate with editorial staff on special projects, including live event coverage, sponsored content programs, and audience engagement initiatives.
  • Support the coordination of editorial deliverables for special print and digital issues, ensuring deadlines and quality standards are met.


Core Competencies:

  • Strong analytical skills and familiarity with audience data platforms (e.g., Google Analytics, Meta Insights).
  • Strong writing, editing, and storytelling skills with an eye for detail and audience needs.


Qualifications:

  • Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Adobe Audition and Premiere Pro
  • Knowledge of AP Style
  • Ability to report and write on a tight deadline
  • Ability to edit audio and video on a tight deadline.
  • Proven experience in digital content creation, multimedia editing (audio/video), and social media management.
  • Proficient in CMS platforms, video/audio editing software, and social publishing tools.
  • Willingness to travel for event coverage and on-site reporting.
  • Experience editing audio and video, and reporting and writing for a website, newspaper or magazine.
  • Bachelor’s degree in journalism, communications, or a related field.
  • 3-5 years experience writing and editing.
  • Knowledge of engineering, construction and equipment a plus.


Special Job Dimensions: The role of Digital Editor is crucial to the success of Roads & Bridges. This person is the backbone of our audio and video content. This person monitors website performance and operates social media. We are looking for this person to thrive in a hybrid capacity and also be able to write, report and edit written content.


This position requires travel.


We are excited to share that this position will be salary, or exempt, and the base salary range for this position is $45,000 - $55,000, exclusive of fringe benefits or potential bonuses. This information is provided per the relevant state and local pay transparency laws for the location in which this position will be performed.


If you are hired for this position at Endeavor, your final base salary compensation will be determined based on factors such as hiring location, skillset, prior years’ experience, relevant education, certain degrees and certifications, training, and market considerations. In addition to those factors – we believe in the importance of pay equity and consider any internal equity of our current team members as a part of any final offer. Please keep in mind that the range mentioned above is the full base salary range for the role. Hiring at the maximum of the range would not be typical to allow for future & continued salary growth.
