This position is responsible for wide range of accounting work requiring critical thinking, knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles, knowledge of tax laws, and ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment with many deadlines. May also include work with system implementations, audit, reporting needs. The Senior Accountant performs planning and coordination of complex accounting activities.
Must currently reside in WA, OR, AK, or willing to relocate by date of hire.
The ideal candidate will have experience with Washington B&O tax and with ASC 842 Lease Accounting.
Details of the Position:
Reviews journal entries and reconciliation files for standard format and accuracy. Performs complex month-end and year-end processing calculations. Performs high-level accounting assignments. Assignments may include audit work, tax work, software projects, process improvement and efficiency work, or other assignments as needed. Produces and analyzes financial statements and prepares narratives about financial statements results.
Assists in systems and job training of staff.
Works to increase software functionality and efficiencies in process and standardization.
Assists customers in problem solving and resolution.
Works with accounting staff and other departments as needed on system-related issues, testing and implementations.
Provides products and services to meet the needs and requirements of internal and external customers.
Documents processes for all general ledger functions and other accounting functions as needed and directed by Accounting leadership.
Performs other duties as assigned.
What You Bring:
Education
Bachelor's Degree Required: Accounting or related field or
Bachelor's Degree Required: Business Administration or related field and
Master's Degree Preferred.
Experience
Minimum of 5 years Required: Experience in accounting or financial auditing and
Preferred: Experience in healthcare and
Preferred: Implementation project experience and
Preferred: Supervisory experience
Credentials
