About the role:

As a Senior DevOps Engineer, you will be responsible for enhancing our software development lifecycle through automation, collaboration, and infrastructure optimization. Within our DevOps team, you will play a crucial role in implementing and managing Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CI/CD), ensuring the reliability, scalability, and, most importantly, security of our systems while fostering a culture of continuous improvement across multiple teams.

Overall you will...

• Apply best security practices across all systems and environments, including vulnerability management, access control, and compliance requirements.

• Design, build, and maintain scalable, secure, and efficient CI/CD pipelines to automate software delivery and deployment processes.

• Collaborate with development, operations, and quality assurance teams to optimize workflows and improve the overall software development lifecycle

• Support the implementation and management of infrastructure as code to provision and configure cloud resources

• Work with other technical teams to troubleshoot infrastructure issues in production and non-production environments, ensuring minimal downtime and impact on operations

• Manage software releases for production systems in collaboration with development, quality assurance, and infrastructure teams

• Continuously evaluate and adopt new technologies, tools, and methodologies to improve automation, efficiency, and reliability in our infrastructure and deployment processes

• Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure DevOps cultures align with business objectives

• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to team members, fostering a culture of knowledge sharing and collaboration

• Develop and maintain documentation to support SDLC processes

• Participate in incident response activities as needed

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related fields

• Over 4 years of experience working as a DevOps Engineer

• Proficiency in programming languages such as Bash, Python, and PowerShell

• Experience with cloud computing platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), preferably GCP

• Experience creating infrastructure as code using Terraform or Ansible

• Hands-on experience with containerization and orchestration technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes, preferably Google Kubernetes Engine

• Experience with CI/CD and DevOps tools such as Azure DevOps and Jenkins

• Practical experience in managing Linux and Windows operating systems

• Experience with security best practices and the ability to implement security measures in the software development or infrastructure lifecycle

• Experience with the software development lifecycle (SDLC) and change management systems/processes

• Strong understanding of networking concepts and protocols

• Excellent problem-solving skills

• Experience with cloud infrastructure transformation and monitoring initiatives

• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment

Desirable skills:

• Relevant certifications such as Professional Cloud DevOps Engineer (GCP), Microsoft Certified DevOps Engineer, and Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA)

• Knowledge of microservices architecture and distributed systems

• Experience with agile development methodologies

• Experience with version control systems like Git

• Experience in application and infrastructure observability
