Job description

Garner's mission is to transform the healthcare economy, delivering high quality and affordable care for all. By helping employers restructure their healthcare benefit to provide clear incentives and data-driven insights, we direct employees to higher quality and lower cost healthcare providers. The result is that patients get better health outcomes while doctors are rewarded for practicing well, not performing more procedures. We are backed by top-tier venture capital firms, are growing rapidly and looking to expand our team.

We’re looking for a Recruiting Generalist to join our growing team and drive full-cycle recruiting efforts across key business functions. You’ll play a critical role in building high-performing teams and shaping Garner’s growth by hiring exceptional talent across departments such as Operations, Legal, Finance, and more.

This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, loves connecting people to purpose-driven work, and is excited about building alongside a mission-driven team.

Responsibilities will include:
  • Manage full-cycle recruiting across diverse business functions, with a primary focus on early-career and support-level roles including Operations, Finance, Legal, and more.
  • Serve as a strategic partner to hiring managers—building hiring plans, crafting job descriptions, and guiding interview processes.
  • Build and manage pipelines of diverse, mission-aligned talent through direct sourcing, referrals, and creative outreach.
  • Deliver a top-tier candidate experience from first touch to offer.
  • Collaborate with the broader People & Talent team on process improvements, employer branding, and recruiting initiatives.
  • Use data to report on pipeline health, time to fill, and quality of hire metrics—driving improvements through insights.
  • Champion equity and inclusion in every stage of the hiring process.
Ideal candidate has:
  • 3+ years of full-cycle recruiting experience, preferably in a high-growth tech or healthcare environment.
  • Experience partnering directly with hiring managers and senior leadership to drive hiring strategy.
  • Proven success sourcing and closing high-quality candidates across a variety of business functions.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and project management skills.
  • A passion for healthcare innovation and a desire to support a mission that matters.
What we look for at Garner:
  • Mission First: Our mission is to transform our healthcare system, delivering high quality and affordable care to all. Everything else is secondary.
  • Expect Extraordinary: Our mission is audacious, so we will only succeed by producing exceptional results. We continually push ourselves and each other to new heights and beyond our comfort zones.
  • Courageous Communication: Transparency and candor are imperative to realizing our potential as an organization and as individuals—even when uncomfortable. Many companies talk about these values. We live them.
  • Supportive community: We know that people do their best work and learn the most when they feel genuinely supported and cared for. It’s also more fun that way.

The salary range for this position is $80,000 - $110,000 annually. Compensation for this role will depend on a variety of factors including qualifications, skills and applicable laws. In addition to base compensation, this role is eligible to participate in our equity incentive and competitive benefits plans.
