Job Summary:

Staff4Me is seeking a focused Network Operation Center (NOC) technician to join our team, ideal for professionals looking to advance their career in a collaborative and challenging environment. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the optimal performance and reliability of our network infrastructure. As part of the NOC team, you will monitor network activities, troubleshoot issues, and provide first-level support to maintain seamless operations across our systems. Key Responsibilities:

  • Continuously monitor network services for performance, stability, and availability.
  • Log and escalate incidents according to protocols, ensuring prompt action toward resolution.
  • Conduct initial troubleshooting for network-related issues, including connectivity and basic routing problems.
  • Work closely with senior staff to address complex incidents and assist with resolution strategies.
  • Document all relevant network incidents, troubleshooting steps, and resolutions for future reference.
  • Support the execution of scheduled maintenance windows while minimizing downtime.
  • Contribute to the development and enhancement of NOC procedures and operations.
  • Provide excellent customer service during incidents, effectively communicating solutions and status updates.

Requirements

1. Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred.

2. Previous experience in a Network Operations Center or similar technical support environment is an advantage.

3. Basic understanding of networking concepts such as TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and common routing protocols.

4. Familiarity with network monitoring tools (e.g., Nagios, SolarWinds, PRTG) is a plus.

5. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to effectively troubleshoot issues.

6. Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective interaction with team members and clients.

7. Capability to work well in a team-oriented environment and manage multiple tasks.

8. Willingness to work shift rotations, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as required for 24/7 network support.
