Description

POSITION:  Junior Network Engineer

RESPONSIBLE TO: Manager, IS&T Operations

JOB SUMMARY:   The Junior Network Engineer demonstrates foundational knowledge of network systems and a strong desire to grow their technical and troubleshooting skills in a collaborative, enterprise-scale environment.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO, THE FOLLOWING:

  • Assisting with the installation and configuration of networking hardware under the guidance of senior staff.
  • Supporting the implementation of network security best practices and protocols.
  • Monitoring network performance and assisting in routine maintenance tasks.
  • Responding to support tickets related to network issues and escalating when necessary.
  • Documenting troubleshooting steps and resolutions in service tickets and knowledge base articles.
  • Participating in network upgrade projects and deployments.
  • Creating basic network reports and diagrams as needed.

OTHER

  • Completes all assigned AP training (such as CPR, OSHA, HIPAA, Compliance, Information Security, others) within designated timeframes.
  • Complies with Allergy Partners and respective hub/department policies and reports incidents of policy violations to a Supervisor/Manager/Director, Department of Compliance & Privacy or via the AP EthicsPoint hotline.
  • Models the AP Code of Conduct and demonstrates a commitment to the AP Compliance Program, standards and policies.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

This job has no supervisory responsibilities.

Qualifications

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • High School Diploma or GED

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • 2–3 years of experience in a technical support or network-related role.
  • Basic knowledge of network operating systems and devices, including Meraki and Cisco.
  • Familiarity with TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and other fundamental networking protocols.
  • Exposure to networking tools and monitoring platforms.
  • Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn from senior engineers.
  • Excellent troubleshooting, communication, and documentation skills.
  • A strong desire to grow professionally and pursue industry certifications (e.g., ECMS, CCNA).
