Job description

Analytica is seeking a remote Senior Appian Developer  to support one or more dynamic, long-term federal government project. The ideal candidate will lead the design, development, and deployment of applications using the Appian platform to automate business processes, with a focus on federal initiatives.

Responsibilities include (but not limited to):  

  • Lead the design, development, and deployment of applications using the Appian platform to automate business processes, with a focus on federal initiatives.
  • Create and maintain process models and workflows in Appian to automate complex business processes within the federal spa
  • Integrate Appian with external systems, APIs, and databases to streamline data and workflow management for federal projects.
  • Develop intuitive, user-friendly interfaces using Appian’s low-code tools to meet both internal and client-facing requirements.
  • Design, test, and develop java web applications that support Appian workflows.
  • Mentor junior developers, conduct code reviews, and ensure best practices are followed to deliver high-quality solutions.
  • Work closely with federal business analysts, project managers, and technical teams to understand and deliver solutions that meet customer and organizational needs.
  • Maintain clear technical documentation for all solutions and processes developed, ensuring alignment with compliance and project standards.
  • Stay current with the latest Appian features and tools, ensuring the use of cutting-edge technology in all federal solutions.
  • Collaborate with the Proposal Manager to support federal RFP / RFQ / RFI proposal preparation and development, ensuring technical solutions are aligned with client requirements.

 Basic Qualifications:  

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • At least 5 years of software development experience, with a minimum of 2 years specifically working with the Appian platform.
  • Proven experience in designing and deploying applications on Appian, particularly in the federal space.
  • A strong background in business process automation (BPM) and process modeling using Appian.
  • Proficiency in Appian’s low-code development environment, including Process Modeler, Interface Designer, and Appian Designer.
  • Solid experience with web services (SOAP/REST), Java, and SQL for integrations.
  • Familiarity with relational databases and data integration.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues in both development and production environments.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Nice to Have:
  • Experience with JavaScript, Maven, Spring Boot, QueryDSL, Swagger/Open API, Lombok.
  • Experience in both front-end and back-end development is a plus.
