Job description

Summary  
GAMA-1 Technologies, LLC seeks an experienced remote Project Manager II. The candidate will support GAMA-1's growing Cloud Services practice. These strategic cloud initiatives intend to increase the bureau's IT efficiency, improve IT delivery, and reduce costs.  The Project Manager II candidate must be a forward-thinking a passion for providing facilitation and guidance for all agile release trains (ARTs) transformation solutions for our customers. The Project Manager II will act as a STE (Solution Train Engineer), which is a key role in the solution train of the Scaled Agile Framework.

Essential functions/responsibilities

  • Manage and execute government contracts and projects in accordance with scope, schedule, and budget
  • Act as the primary point of contact between the company and federal agency clients
  • Assists in assembling and documenting Agile-related artifacts, including outputs from user studies and backlog management activities
  • Lead project planning, resource allocation, risk management, and performance tracking activities
  • Contributes to the development and refinement of business best practices and processes
  • Provides support and guidance to team members on the effective use of project management tools
  • Ensure compliance with federal acquisition regulations (FAR), contract requirements, and internal policies
  • Prepare and present regular status reports, deliverables, and program documentation to stakeholders
  • Manage project budgets, forecasts, and invoices in coordination with finance and accounting
  • Identify and mitigate project risks and resolve issues proactively
  • Oversee subcontractor performance and compliance
  • Foster collaboration across departments and with clients to meet project goals
  • Maintain accurate project documentation and records

Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Project Management, information technology or a related field or equivalent work experience 
  • 2-4 years of experience in project management, with at least 1 year supporting federal contracts or a similar role
  • PMP certification or equivalent required
  • Strong understanding of the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and government contracting lifecycle
  • Experience managing projects in compliance-heavy environments
  • Proficient in project management tools such as Microsoft Project, JIRA, or Smartsheet
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working with agencies such as DoD, DHS, or GSA
  • Experience in Agile or hybrid project management methodologies
  • Knowledge of Earned Value Management (EVM)
  • Certifications: Certified ScrumMaster (CSM), Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO), SAFe® Product Owner/Product Manager (POPM), DevOps Certification, SAFe® Agilist Certification, Amazon Web Services (AWS) Certification, Microsoft Azure Certification
  • Able to clearly communicate solution vision, roadmaps, and performance metrics aligned with business goals and key performance indicators (KPIs)
  • Experience facilitating large-scale solution events and Inspect & Adapt sessions
  • Hands-on experience supporting Lean-Agile practices within the Release Train Engineer (RTE) community, contributing to team growth and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Experience organizing and running large-scale Agile events like solution demos and Inspect & Adapt sessions; supports Agile teams and works closely with Solution Architects and management to help ensure value delivery
  • Hands-on experience supporting PI (Program Increment) Planning activities and assisting in coordinating the Solution Train to help align Agile Release Trains (ARTs), stakeholders, and leadership teams
  • Coordinate Integrated Master Schedules (IMS) and Work Breakdown Structures (WBS) to align with delivery timelines for large-scale solutions
  • Supporting RTEs and Scrum Masters by helping them understand how their teams contribute to larger business goals and outcomes
  • Experience supporting complex scientific and technical projects for Federal customers
  • Skilled in preparing and presenting technical and management materials to customers and end-users
  • Strong interpersonal maturity and communication skills; logical, organized, and execution-oriented
  • Demonstrated experience supporting cloud-based technologies, including AWS and Microsoft Azure

  • Ability to obtain a government security clearance

The base salary range for this position is: $128,919- $176,477 

This base salary range represents a general guideline. An individual’s base salary within that range is determined based on a variety of factors, including (without limitation) the scope, complexities, and responsibilities of the position, the government contract to which the position is assigned, geographic location, market conditions, and the candidate’s relevant experience, education, and skills.
