About The Opportunity

Canada Guaranty is currently seeking an Account Executive to join our National Sales team. Supporting our partners around Central Ontario, the Account Executive will work in a customer-centric environment and use their outstanding sales, communication, and problem-solving skills to deliver exceptional service to Canada Guaranty’s lender partners. This position involves managing a portfolio of lenders, working together with our lender partners and our internal underwriting team to build our business.

In this role, you will:

  • Assist the Director of Sales to develop business plans required to achieve the company’s objectives
  • Participate in the strategic planning process and launch of new lender partners, executing on the business plan for your assigned territory/lender
  • Introduce the company and mortgage insurance products or services to Lenders and Mortgage Professionals through ongoing training presentations via webinar and in-person sessions
  • Maintain in-depth knowledge of Canada Guaranty’s products and services
  • Stay current with changes in premium rates, underwriting guidelines, and company policies that affect our customers
  • Attend industry-related events and stay current on competitor developments
  • Participate in mortgage-related trade groups, such as Mortgage Professionals Canada, and attend associated functions regularly
  • Travel regularly throughout Central Ontario

 

Essential Qualifications

  • Undergraduate degree
  • 5 or more years experience in the mortgage industry, specifically in a sales or lending function
  • Working knowledge of mortgage origination and mortgage insurance, with strong mortgage underwriting experience and the ability to effectively analyze and understand financial statements and credit bureaus
  • Demonstrated communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills
  • Strong customer service skills, including an enthusiastic attitude with a professional and friendly demeanor
  • Proven ability to maintain confidentiality and work independently
