Job Description
We are looking for a Tech Lead to guide the development of high-quality software solutions using React Native (Expo), React.js, Node.js, and AWS.
You’ll play a pivotal role in leading the engineering team, setting the technical direction, and ensuring that all digital products are scalable, performant, and built with best practices in mind.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the design, development, and deployment of scalable mobile and web applications using Expo/React Native, React.js, Node.js, and AWS.
  • Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other engineers to define technical requirements and deliver robust, user-friendly applications.
  • Architect and maintain backend services and RESTful APIs, ensuring performance and scalability.
  • Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and support to other engineers through code reviews and architecture discussions.
  • Drive DevOps practices including CI/CD, testing automation, and infrastructure management on AWS.
  • Promote clean code practices, component reusability, and strong documentation across the codebase.
  • Continuously research and evaluate emerging technologies and development practices to keep GBH ahead of the curve.
  • Facilitate Agile processes (e.g., stand-ups, sprint planning, retrospectives) and contribute to an engineering culture of ownership and continuous improvement.



Requirements

  • 7+ years of software development experience, including recent experience with:
  • React Native (Expo)
  • React.js
  • Node.js
  • TypeScript and/or JavaScript
  • AWS services (Lambda, API Gateway, S3, DynamoDB, EC2, etc.)
  • 2+ years in a tech leadership or senior engineering position.
  • Solid experience designing and consuming RESTful APIs and working with microservices.
  • Proficiency in Agile development methodologies and DevOps practices.
  • Experience with state management (e.g., Redux, Context API) and performance optimization in React-based apps.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and leadership skills.
  • Advanced English proficiency.
