Job description

This is a remote position.

Role Name: Bookkeeper

Schedule: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday 10am to 7pm CST

Client Timezone: Central Time (Dallas/Fort Worth based)


Join a rapidly growing multi-state hospitality group managing entertainment venues and sports bars, where you'll play a crucial role in their financial operations. This position offers the opportunity to work with complex, multi-entity accounting structures and high-volume transactions across multiple locations. You'll be part of modernizing and streamlining financial processes while working with a dynamic team. This role offers growth potential as the organization continues its expansion across new markets and concepts.


Responsibilities:

  • Perform bank reconciliations across multiple business entities and accounts

  • Monitor and reconcile ATM accounts across multiple locations

  • Audit and verify daily sales reports and cash deposits

  • Track and reconcile inter-company transactions between real estate and operating entities

  • Support month-end close processes

  • Verify and document cash variances and discrepancies

  • Assist with financial reporting and compliance documentation

Scope:

  • Initial focus on bank reconciliations and ATM account management

  • Potential to expand into additional areas including payroll processing, tax return support, and inventory management

  • Remote position working with US-based management team

  • Access to multiple financial systems and bank portals

  • Collaborative work with existing accounting team members


Requirements
  • Strong knowledge of US accounting principles and practices

  • Experience with Sage 50 (formerly Peachtree) accounting software

  • Proven experience with multi-entity accounting structures

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in handling numerical data

  • Experience with high-volume transaction reconciliation

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality with sensitive financial information

  • Strong organizational and time management skills

  • Proficiency in English
