Position Overview
Autodesk has an exciting opportunity within our Named Accounts Technical Sales Organization, focused on Autodesk solutions for our automotive customers. This is a remote position reporting directly to the Technical Sales Manager.
We are looking for a Technical Solutions Executive that is a team player who will help our Named Account automotive customers scope and define solutions within their design studios. Your mission will be to work directly with customers to understand their technical requirements and define a technical solution based on Autodesk products and technology, collaborating with Account Managers, Technical Solution Executives, Solutions Engineers, the Customer Success team, and Consulting to help our customers guide Digital Transformation across their organizations. You will work with leading automotive industry customers across North America and World Wide. You will join the Technical Sales team as part of our 2000+ person Worldwide Sales and Services organization.
Responsibilities
Work with customers and internal / external team members for technical sales projects to Named Account (Enterprise) customers in the Automotive industry
Help to define digital transformation strategies, conceive and design solutions, and guide initiatives through to success
Assist customers in setting up and implementing proof of concept evaluations that measure success and values
Maintain currency with the latest updates to our automotive studio software titles and deliver annual “what’s new” presentations and demos to the customers
Stay abreast of quickly evolving and rapidly appearing technologies in the automotive design studios to maintain a trusted advisor status with our customers
Demonstrate technical expertise and leadership to help customers achieve their goals
Establish working relationships with customers as a trusted technical advisor
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in industrial design, mechanical engineering, or equivalent automotive experience
More than 5 years of experience in the Automotive or similar design industries, for example as a Designer, Modeler or 3D Artist/Operator
Familiarity with the unique ways in which the various roles within automotive design studios use Autodesk and non-Autodesk software (including competitor software), related hardware (workstations, servers, and AR/VR devices), and how these personas work with each other and their engineering counterparts downstream
Ability to work within an extended sales organization and balance competing demands from both internal teams and customer requirements
Expertise in Autodesk VRED and Autodesk Alias
Knowledge of Autodesk Flow Production Tracking
Excellent English verbal and written communication skills
The position may include up to 50% travel
Preferred Qualifications
Technical sales experience or technical project experience with large, demanding customers
Proficient in customer requirements gathering and discovery
Experience with AR/VR/MR technologies
Knowledge of SubD Modeling, Polymodeling, Class A, Formfinding, Digital Twin, and Data Management are beneficial
Familiarity with Pipeline Management, Clay and Game Engines
Experience understanding new or unfamiliar concepts quickly
Manage multiple projects at a time, setting the right priorities
