Join our dynamic IT department as a  Network Engineer Level 3 ! This senior-level role is crucial in providing technical support and expertise in the maintenance, troubleshooting, and enhancement of desktop and end-user computing environments. If you're passionate about network design and planning, and enjoy solving complex issues, you'll thrive in our collaborative and innovative team.

Where you come in:
  • You design and plan network architecture based on organizational requirements.
  • You plan and configure network components such as routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, and wireless access points.
  • You determine network capacity and scalability needs.
  • You install and configure networking hardware and software.
  • You set up and maintain IP addressing, subnets, VLANs, and routing protocols.
  • You deploy security measures like firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and encryption protocols.
  • You monitor network performance and identify bottlenecks or issues.
  • You perform regular maintenance tasks, updates, and patches to ensure network stability.
  • You troubleshoot network outages, connectivity problems, and security breaches.
  • You implement and maintain network security measures to protect against unauthorized access and cyber threats.
  • You stay updated with security best practices and industry standards.
  • You ensure compliance with relevant regulations and policies related to network security and data privacy.
  • You analyze network traffic patterns and optimize network performance.
  • You implement Quality of Service (QoS) to prioritize network traffic based on business needs.
  • You recommend and implement network upgrades to meet changing demands.
  • You work closely with cross-functional teams to understand network requirements.
  • You collaborate with system administrators, software developers, and other IT professionals to ensure seamless integration of network services.
  • You maintain accurate and up-to-date network documentation, including diagrams, configurations, and procedures.
  • You create documentation for network standards and guidelines.
  • You establish exceptional relationships with various departments, consultants, external agencies, and leadership, resulting in increased process efficiency, improved communication, and reduced cycle time.
  • You utilize various sources of data to analyze, suggest opportunities for process improvements, and implement system changes throughout the team.
  • You maintain a collaborative and productive working relationship with your peers.
  • You achieve service level goals and quality targets, managing and coaching employees to department performance standards.
  • You adhere to change control processes and procedures.
  • You accurately document and communicate instances of system failures, repairs, installations, or changes.
  • You provide ongoing support and guidance, including taking escalation calls.
  • You implement, communicate, and interpret new and existing policies and procedures to staff members.
  • You assume and perform other duties as assigned.
  • You meet or exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual department metrics.
What makes you successful:
  • You have several years of experience in Network Engineering or a related role, with a focus on troubleshooting complex technical issues.
  • You possess strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Your subject matter expertise in networking technologies is exceptional.
  • Your deep understanding of Networking technology, TCP/IP, Cisco and/or Extreme Routing/Switching/WiFi is crucial.
  • You have a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Your professional certifications such as Cisco CCNA/CCNP are highly desirable.
  • Your proficiency in network hardware and software configuration is excellent.
  • Your experience with network monitoring tools and troubleshooting techniques is solid.
  • Your knowledge of network security principles and best practices is strong.
  • Your deep understanding of an ITIL compliant environment, and experience with ServiceNow for all aspects of this, is essential.
  • Your experience with routers, TCP/IP networking, Wi-Fi, and server-client relationships is important. Cisco and/or Extreme certifications are desirable.
  • You are fluent in English, both written and oral communication.
  • Your verbal and written communication skills, including effective listening skills and the ability to communicate accurately and effectively in person, over the telephone, through email, and other business correspondence, are excellent.
  • You have proven capability to handle challenging situations, a positive attitude with passion and drive.
  • You show aptitude, initiative, follow-through, and have strong project management skills.
