DUTIES:

         

  • Lead the entire implementation process for new BI applications and enhancements to existing software applications.
  • Partner with Product Owners and other business stakeholders on new development and support of existing software applications.
  • Lead scrum team in delivery of specific features from the product roadmap.
  • Provide timely responses to business inquiries about data available in the software applications.
  • Actively participate in the Scrum team and attend daily stand-ups, code reviews, backlog refinement, and sprint planning sessions.
  • Maintain the current status of work items in JIRA.
  • Contribute to design sessions for new components to software products.
  • Build and test software applications.
  • Use technologies such as Teradata SQL, BTEQ, Control-M, Snowflake, Python, and AWS.
  • Conduct root cause analysis and complex Teradata SQL performance tuning.
  • Be accountable for both the quality and completeness of the work assigned to the Scrum Team.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation on the team Confluence Page.
  • Position reports to Centene headquarters at 7700 Forsyth Boulevard, St. Louis, MO 63105 and various unanticipated worksites throughout the U.S.
  • Telecommuting permitted 100% of the time.
  • No additional national or international travel is anticipated.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • PRIMARY REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or related or equivalent experience acquired through accomplishments of applicable knowledge, duties, scope and skill reflective of the level of this position, and 5 years of relevant work experience.
  • ALTERNATIVE REQUIREMENTS: Master’s degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or related or equivalent experience acquired through accomplishments of applicable knowledge, duties, scope and skill reflective of the level of this position, and 3 years of relevant work experience.
  • In addition, experience with the following skills is required: (1) Serving as a developer providing solutions to medium-complex ETL problems on a Teradata platform in a fast-paced healthcare environment; (2) Partnering with business and technical stakeholders to develop requirements, technical patterns, and implementation plans for complex ETL projects using vendor ETL Tools including Informatica PowerCenter, PowerExchange, or Data Stage, as well as SQL scripting and Teradata Utilities with many integration points and downstream customers;  (3) Crafting and distributing broad end-user communications including updates regarding new features and alerts to known production issues; (4) Setting and enforcing scrum team standards regarding SQL and Python coding, unit testing, user acceptance testing, deployment patterns and timing, and other items requiring team coordination/standardization; (5) Conducting development of assigned items using Teradata SQL, Stored Procedures, Shell Scripts, Tidal/Control-M Automation Jobs, Control-M MFT Jobs, and Python Scripting; and (6) Utilizing Data Engineering principles in the healthcare and finance data domains, including directly interacting with a business partner.

JOB SITE:                7700 Forsyth Boulevard, St. Louis, MO 63105

WORK HOURS:         Monday-Friday, 40 hours/week [8:00 am to 5:00 pm]

PAY RANGE:             $147,044.63 to $186,800.00 per year
