The ASG Presales Solutions Engineer - Infrastructure will work as a customer facing data center infrastructure specialist . They will help uncover and develop opportunities when meeting with customers and account planning with sales teams. This position is a remote position that may be required to report to the Austin, TX office as required for business needs as determined by SHI management.

Responsibilities
Include, but are not limited to:
Lead both independent as well as collaborative discussions with clients regarding data protection, backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity.
Acquire and develop advanced technical and programmatic skill sets
Understand OEM and industry landscape relative to solutions and market trends
Support development of go-to-market strategies across all solutions
Educate and develop sales teams on data protection solution selling and key technologies
Develop and maintain internal intellectual property: a combination of white papers, subject matter guides, assessment processes and measurement documents, and project briefs
Perform assessment and/or solution deployment activities including requirement definition and feasibility
Understand and support SHI data protection services offerings and portfolio
Qualifications
Preferred Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
Minimum of 5 years of experience working with design and delivery/implementation of data protection solutions
Minimum of 2 years of experience presenting to customers, internal teams, or local professional groups
Performance of one or more gap assessments for formalized industry frameworks and compliance requirements preferred but not required
Experience with products such as Commvault, Veeam, Cohesity, Rubrik, Druva, and NetBackup .
Required Skills
Ability to demonstrate technical capabilities regarding data protection, cyber resiliency, disaster recovery, and business continuity.
Ability to design an appropriate cyber resiliency solution based on requirement documents
Ability to recommend data protection solutions based on industry best practice and knowledge of client environments
Proficiency with the following Microsoft Office products: Word, PowerPoint, and Visio
Ability to conduct self-study and independent work in lab facilities to increase job-related skillset
Preferred Skills
Technical writing (redacted samples may be requested)
Presentation skills.
Ability to architect solutions to demonstration product and outcome
Highly organized with strong oral and written communication, presentation and consultative experience across a diverse set of data center technology solutions
Solution scoping
RFP response experience
Certifications Required
One or more of the following industry certifications preferred:
Veeam VMCE or VMCA
Commvault Professional or Engineer
Cohesity Technical Sales Professional
Rubrik RCSA
Unique Requirements
Valid driver’s license
Must be able to pass client-required background checks as needed
Travel up to 20% to client sites
Additional Information
The estimated annual pay range for this position is $120,000 - $230,000 which includes a base salary and bonus. The compensation for this position is dependent on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and market location and, therefore, will vary from individual to individual. Benefits may include, but are not limited to, medical, vision, dental, 401K, and flexible spending.
