Job Summary/Objective
Provides day-to-day guidance to the Collision product team, manages individual and team assignments, and ensures team members are positioned to meet deliverables. Creates and executes tactical implementation plans for Collision programs and product applications to drive specification, development, adoption, and usage of new and existing products and services. Assists with establishing market requirements and defining product requirements. Builds and manages a product roadmap that addresses market needs and opportunities that support OEC’s goals and strategies. Manages product professionals and coaches the team for continual success. Establishes market requirements and defines product requirements.
Key Responsibilities & Duties (essential To The Job)
- Manages and leads the Collision team. Sets individual team goals and expectations. Provides ongoing coaching and feedback, and completes formal assessments on performance. Ensures clarity on priorities and timelines and that work activities are aligned with strategic goals communicated by senior leadership. Helps team members with solving for complex and/or escalated issues, and removes roadblocks as needed.
- Promotes individual and team learning & growth, and supports the upward mobility of team members.
- Identifies what market research is needed for the Collision line of business and related products. Conducts market research, including customer surveys, one-on-one customer interviews, and competitive analysis with management support. Analyzes product, customer, and market data to identify and define new product opportunities, extensions and enhancements to existing products, and applications of technology to markets.
- Develops product requirements independently and works daily with Technology teams to prioritize and implement requirements, do customer market testing (validation), perform user acceptance testing, and launch requirements.
- Puts together execution plan and coordinates efforts with various functional areas (marketing, customer-facing, billing, etc.) to roll out new Collision-related products or enhancements and drive customer satisfaction with minimal management help.
- Identifies areas for program improvement, and partners with sales, customer success, and marketing teams to devise programs to increase customer sales and decrease cancellations.
- Seeks out answers to business questions and identifies reports for data gathering needed to support assigned areas. Prepares reports and analyzes product and customer data.
- Develops and delivers presentations at speaking engagements to drive customer awareness of product capabilities and new customer initiatives.
- Manages select relationships with Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs), third parties, and other external industry professionals, and is seen as a trusted advisor.
- Owns assigned company product, puts together business cases.
- Recruits, hires, and onboards new team members. Ensures newly hired employees have the tools, knowledge and information needed to be successful at OEC.
Education
A bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university is required, In the absence of a degree, equivalent work experience directly related to the key responsibilities of the role will be considered as a substitute for the degree.
Experience, Skills And Key Competencies
- At least 10 years of experience in a product development environment managing large scale projects and implementations
- Plus, a proven track record of successfully evaluating and implementing new technology products.
- At least 2 years of management experience with responsibility for leading direct reports.

Special Position Requirements
- Travel for this position is required, and anticipated to be approximately 10-15% of the time (possibly 1 to 2 days each month).
