Job Description: We are looking for a skilled Azure Infrastructure Engineer to join our team and play a key role in managing and optimizing our Azure cloud infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Azure services and infrastructure management, with a focus on ensuring scalability, reliability, and security of our cloud hosted infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities:
Deploy and manage Azure infrastructure components including virtual machines (VMs), virtual networks (VNETs), storage accounts, Azure Active Directory (AD), Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), backups, Azure Site Recovery (ASR), Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI).
Perform OS patching, DR drill and administration tasks for Windows and Linux servers.
Utilize infrastructure as code (IaC) principles to automate day-to-day tasks using ARM templates, PowerShell, Terraform, Ansible or other automation tools.
Monitor and optimize the performance, availability, and cost efficiency of Azure services and resources.
Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams including Product Engineering, Support, Services, and Application Monitoring to ensure alignment with business requirements and objectives.
Provide support for incident resolution, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis, particularly for infrastructure-related issues.
Participate in on-call rotation and provide support during weekends, nights, and public holidays as required.
Stay updated on emerging Azure technologies and best practices, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the team.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
2-3 years of hands-on experience in Azure cloud infrastructure management and administration.
Strong understanding of Azure services and architecture, including VMs, VNETs, storage, AD, AKS, backups, ASR, VDI, and OS patching.
Experience with infrastructure as code (IaC) using ARM templates, PowerShell, or Terraform is highly desirable.
Willingness to work in shifts, including weekends, nights, and public holidays.
Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.
Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to collaborate across teams and articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate or Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Associate are a plus.
