Your Responsibilities:

Manage and optimize DB2 databases on mainframe systems, including installation, configuration, and maintenance.
Ensure database availability and performance through regular monitoring and performance tuning.
Troubleshoot and provide support for all DB2-related issues in production and resolve technical problems.
Perform backup and recovery processes and create disaster recovery plans to ensure data integrity.
Implement security measures to maintain data protection policies and minimize risks.
Collaborate closely with other IT departments to ensure seamless integration of DB2 into the existing infrastructure and application landscape.
Assist in the planning and implementation of upgrades and patches for DB2 and related systems.
Support the documentation of processes, procedures, and best practices.

Your Profile:

Several years of experience in DB2 administration on mainframe systems (e.g., IBM z/OS).
In-depth knowledge of database optimization, performance tuning, and troubleshooting.
Experience with DB2 tools (e.g., DB2 Performance Monitor, DB2 Utilities, z/OS-DB2 Command Utilities).
Knowledge of security administration and implementation of DB2-based security policies.
Experience in monitoring and maintaining mainframe environments.
Excellent teamwork and communication skills to collaborate with other IT departments.
Ability to explain complex technical issues clearly and transform them into actionable solutions.
