As a senior or lead research and development analyst on the Property Underwriting Research team, you’ll develop models and tools to mitigate risk for our property business. You’ll conduct targeted analysis and build predictive models to identify individual underpriced risks. In addition, you’ll deploy process enhancements that impact underwriting decisions when generating new business quotes and policy renewal, and support business strategies that reduce the volatility of our property book of business.

Must-have Qualifications

  • High school diploma/GED equivalent or higher and a minimum of six years relevant experience in statistical/quantitative modeling and in using various database tools to manipulate large volumes of structured data in a product, pricing or actuarial role in property & casualty insurance
  • {OR} Bachelor's degree in quantitative field and a minimum of three years analytical work experience in a product, pricing or actuarial role in property & casualty insurance.
  • {OR} Master's degree in quantitative field of study and a minimum of three years analytical work experience.
  • {OR} PhD in quantitative field of study.

Preferred Skills

  • Strong understanding of predictive modeling using one or more relevant coding packages (Python, R, SAS, etc.)
  • Experience in property insurance or insurance underwriting
  • A business intelligence skill set, including analytics and reporting
  • Project management expertise
  • Technical tools including SQL querying, Excel, or Tableau

Compensation

  • $87,200 - $143,000/year depending on position level and experience
  • Gainshare annual cash incentive payment up to 30-40% of your eligible earnings based on company performance
