We're now seeking a dynamic Principal Consultant to lead our impactful projects within the Infrastructure sectors: Water, Waste, Transport and Mobility, and Urban Planning.

Are you a renowned expert in one or more of these infrastructure fields, with a strong grasp of climate finance? Can you seamlessly navigate complex projects, balancing strategic vision with meticulous execution? Do you possess a strong network and a reputation for inspiring teams and delivering exceptional client outcomes?

As our Principal Consultant, you'll be instrumental in driving excellence, fostering innovation, and strategically growing our infrastructure portfolio. You'll lead a team of sector specialists, ensuring top-tier quality, efficient resource management, and outstanding client satisfaction. Your thought leadership will be key to our continued success.

Your Impact:

• Shape strategy: Contribute to our consulting team's strategic direction and champion key initiatives for major clients across the infrastructure portfolio.
• Lead and mentor: Manage and develop a team of consultants, fostering their skills and ensuring accountability.
• Drive growth: Expand our client and partner network, represent E Co. externally, and contribute to compelling marketing and bid content.
• Deliver impact: Oversee and ensure the quality of complex infrastructure consulting projects, managing teams and exceeding client expectations.
• Advance knowledge: Champion knowledge management activities, share best practices, and refine our methodologies.

What you'll bring:

• 20+ years of relevant international experience (EU neighbourhood, Balkans, MENA preferred).
• Advanced degree (MBA, MA, MSc, PhD) in a related field.
• Deep expertise in Water, Waste, Transport and Mobility, or Urban Planning, with a solid understanding of one or more of the others, in particular in relation to climate change mitigation/adaptation/resilience.
• Proven success in upstream consulting (market analysis, strategy formulation, policy development, programme and project design, and fund support).
• Experience working with major public sector clients (e.g. EBRD, WB, EIB, GIZ, and bi-laterals) is essential; private sector experience is a plus.
• Strong project and team leadership skills with a track record of on-time, on-budget, high-quality delivery.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and client relationship management abilities.
• Experience as a quality manager for projects and proposals.

Bonus points:

• Experience in Africa, Eastern Europe, Latin America, and/or Asia.
• Fluency in English and another language (French, Portuguese, Spanish, Russian, Chinese, or Arabic).
• Experience working with the global funds (e.g. GCF, GEF, Adaptation Fund)
• Established network within sustainable and international development.
