VitalSource®, is hiring two Associate Marketing Managers to contribute to our Marketing team located in Raleigh, NC or Boston MA (preferred locations). Applicants outside of these preferred locations will still be considered.

 

We are seeking two dynamic Associate Marketing Managers to join our Marketing team. Both roles are instrumental in supporting and executing integrated marketing strategies that drive awareness, engagement, and adoption of our solutions in the higher education technology space.

 

As an Associate Marketing Manager, you will collaborate cross-functionally to develop impactful content, coordinate campaigns, and deliver marketing materials and toolkits that support institutional success. These roles require strong communication, organization, and content development skills, along with a passion for education and technology.

 

Key Responsibilities:

Campaign & Content Development

  • Assist in the creation of marketing content across email, social media, webinars, and digital campaigns.
  • Develop and coordinate marketing toolkits, templates, and sales enablement materials for institutional use—both pre- and post-sale.
  • Support copywriting and editing of marketing assets, ensuring alignment with brand voice, messaging, and positioning.
  • Gather insights to ensure content resonates with diverse stakeholder audiences and supports program communication.

 

Marketing Execution & Strategy Implementation

  • Execute integrated marketing campaigns in coordination with internal stakeholders, ensuring timely delivery of assets.
  • Help implement scalable marketing strategies under the guidance of the Senior Manager to promote institutional success with Affordable Access Programs.
  • Maintain marketing calendars and coordinate the distribution of campaign materials and resources.

 

Sales & Customer Engagement Support

  • Collaborate with Sales and Customer Success teams to support prospecting, customer engagement, and retention efforts.
  • Assist with RFP responses and preparation of relevant marketing content.
  • Support webinars, workshops, and strategic sessions that enable institutions to effectively launch and communicate their programs.

 

Cross-Functional Collaboration & Program Alignment

  • Work with cross-functional partners in Product, Marketing Ops, and Product Marketing to align on messaging, campaigns, and business goals.
  • Identify gaps in institutional and student communications, onboarding resources, and campaign materials to ensure a seamless customer experience.

 

Performance Tracking & Optimization

  • Gather feedback from internal and external stakeholders to iterate on content and improve strategy.
  • Assist in reporting on key metrics to identify trends, share insights, and recommend optimizations.

 

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field. 
  • 2+ years of B2B marketing experience, preferably in higher ed tech, EdTech, publishing, or digital learning. 
  • Experience working in a cross-functional, fast-paced environment with a focus on customer success and engagement. 

 

Technical Skills:

  • Foundational knowledge of marketing principles, digital channels, and campaign workflows. 
  • Experience using marketing tools such as CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce) and analytics tools (e.g., Excel). 
  • Ability to create, format, and edit content such as email templates, social media copy, slide decks, and promotional materials. Content marketing and social media best practices. 
  • Project coordination skills including task tracking, documentation, and meeting support. 

 

Soft Skills:

  • Strong written and verbal communication and presentation skills. 
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines. 
  • Collaborative and team-oriented with a willingness to learn and take direction. 
  • Customer-focused mindset and a proactive approach to problem solving. 
  • Adaptability and comfort working in a dynamic, evolving environment. 

 

Preferred Skills:

  • Familiarity with higher education content distribution models, digital learning materials, and institutional purchasing structures is a plus. 
  • Experience in project management, digital marketing, content creation, marketing strategy, customer engagement, and data analytics.

Salary Range: $61,500 to $75,500
