Your Role in Keeping the Future in Safe Hands… 

As the Junior Developer for Char and in Hospitality, Global solutions division of ASSA ABLOY, you will have the opportunity to participate in software development for new cloud products. 

Reporting to the Senior Developer, you will be responsible for development of frontend and backend applications.  

 What you will do… 

  • Develop reusable user interface (UI) components using React and other technologies from the JavaScript ecosystem. 
  • Implement responsive designs ensuring that applications work smoothly across different devices and browsers. 
  • Participate in the creation and maintenance of web applications by collaborating with designers and other developers to define the project's architecture and structure. 
  • Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code, following best practices and development standards. 
  • Work with RESTful APIs to integrate backend services and handle data requests and responses. 
  • Debug and troubleshoot application issues, identifying and fixing bugs while improving code performance. 
  • Participate in code reviews to ensure software quality and learn from the feedback received. 
  • Collaborate with design and backend teams to ensure that the implemented features meet the required specifications. 
  • Update and maintain task status in project management tools.
  • Learn and adapt to new technologies within the React, JavaScript and golang ecosystem, as well as participate in training and continuous learning sessions. 

What we expect of you… 

  • Basic knowledge of React and its ecosystem (hooks, class/functional components, state, props). 
  • Previous experience with JavaScript, HTML, and CSS, through personal, academic, or work projects. 
  • Familiarity with web development and understanding of key concepts like the DOM model, HTTP requests, and responsive design. 
  • Ability to work with version control tools like Git (GitHub, GitLab, Bitbucket). 
  • Basic knowledge of using RESTful APIs to integrate backend services and handle data. 
  • Skill in debugging and solving basic issues in web applications. 
  • Ability to quickly learn new technologies and tools, showing an interest in staying updated within the JavaScript ecosystem. 
  • Good communication and teamwork skills, willing to collaborate with other developers, designers, and product teams. 
  • Academic background or training in software development, either through a university degree, technical courses, bootcamps, or personal projects. 
  • Basic/intermediate level of English, especially if the company works with documentation or international teams. 
  • Desirable but not mandatory: 
  • Knowledge of CSS frameworks like Bootstrap, Tailwind, or Material UI. 
  • Familiarity with TypeScript. 
  • Knowledge of golang. 
  • Experience with project management tools like Redmine, Jira or Trello. 
  • Experience developing web applications as part of a team, even if through academic projects. 
  • You will ideally be located in Spain (where applicable)
