Reports To: Director of Client Onboarding Department: Professional Services Location: Remote Exemption Status: ExemptPURPOSE: The Consulting Engineer is responsible for delivering professional services during client onboarding projects. This role focuses on documenting client environments, preparing clients and internal teams for steady-state support, and facilitating a smooth transition from project implementation to ongoing service delivery. RESPONSIBILITIES:
Assess and document clients’ existing technical environments.
Lead client discussions to gather information on current IT infrastructure, challenges, policies, and processes.
Develop user onboarding and offboarding documentation for help desk use.
Conduct knowledge transfer sessions with internal support teams.
Recommend improvements to onboarding Project Managers and Service Delivery Managers to optimize client success.
Provide support to Operations and Service Desk teams as needed.
MINIMUM SKILLS, EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
2+ years of experience in a similar technical or consulting role.
Experience with modern Microsoft cloud platforms including Azure, Intune, Autopilot, and Windows Virtual Desktop.
Prior experience in a help desk or technical support capacity.
Strong organizational, verbal, and written communication skills.
Project delivery or onboarding experience preferred.
