As an Associate Data Scientist, you will utilize problem solving techniques to query, analyze and visualize data to assist in the design, building, testing and deploying of analytic models for business units. In this role, you will leverage advanced modeling techniques to create clear and concise reports that drive business decisions and continuous improvements. A caregiver in this position works remotely from 8:00AM - 5:00PM.

A caregiver who excels in this role will:  

  • Conduct analysis using different model methodologies under the direction of management, other Data Scientists and/or Subject Matter Experts (SMEs). 
  • Build SME knowledge based on advanced methodologies. 
  • Interface with various enterprise teams in support of advanced analytics needs and capabilities 
  • Assist in the development of final study reports and presentations. 
  • Create and maintain technical/process documentation such as system flow charts, diagrams, and procedures appropriate for supporting new applications. 
  • Participate in training and adoption materials for current and potential users of the systems.  
  • Support presentation of those materials as needed. 

 
Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:  

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Statistician, Actuarial Science, Econometrics, Physics, Biostatistics, Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, Engineering, Economics, Finance or a related field. 
  • Technology Partner Certification (i.e., technology, big data, business or advanced analytics, data science, etc.)  
  • Core Competencies in Mathematics, Data Science, Statistics, Modeling and Simulation 

Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:  

  • Certification or fellowship in analytics, big data, data science or related subject 
  • Strong understanding of SAS and one or more statistical languages/packages (e.g., R, Python, SPSS, etc.) 
  • Microsoft, Oracle, Teradata, IBM, EMC, Cloudera, Hortonworks, Informatica, Tableau, SAS, R or Python Certification 
  • Experience working with relational databases and/or distributed computing platforms, and their query interfaces, such as SQL, Teradata, or Oracle. 
  • Knowledge of data architecture and database concepts 
  • Related internship or work experience using problem solving techniques to query and process data, provide reports, summarize, visualize data and participate in the design, building, testing and deployment of analytics models.
