Patient Account Associate II EDI CoordinatorEssential Functions
· Develops and implements strategies for adhering to commercial and Government requirements of emerging payment techniques and various payor portal access requirements, not limited to:
Development of procedures, assessing and communicating reporting and documentation.
Establishing processes for the Intermountain system in complying with payor requirements
· Serves as a subject matter expert for commercial payor requirements and mechanisms for alternative payment methods. Accountable for understanding and communicating the related commercial and regulatory programs payment techniques and portal access requirements.
· Acts as a technical resource related to portal access and functionality for operational management and staff. Manages and maintains all tickets related to government and commercial payor portals across the organization.
· Acts as a subject matter expert for the RSC as it relates to EDI enrollments to obtain remittance advice. Acts as a liaison between the organization and vendors, and internal and external partners.
Collaborates with interdepartmental leadership and vendors to implement streamlined workflows, training and communication.
· Supports leadership in coordinating with clearinghouse vendors and works to obtain electronic payments where the clearinghouse contracts are not in place. Creates and provides monitoring and trending reports to the Cash Management Leadership teams. Utilizes reporting to partner with internal and external partners and provide suggested solutions for identified trends
· Research errors identified by payor payments being sent in means other than EFT/ERA or via clearinghouse. Achieve and maintain electronic payment activity at 100% or as payors allow. Works with clearinghouse to enroll payors and resolve payment/system issues.

Qualifications
· High school diploma or equivalent required
·Three (3) years for Revenue Cycle and/or Cash Management required . . Associate degree in related field preferred
Physical Requirements
· Ongoing need for employee to see and read information, documents, monitors, identify equipment and supplies, and be able to assess colleagues’ needs. · Frequent interactions with colleagues that require employee to verbally communicate as well as hear and understand spoken information, needs, and issues quickly and accurately · Manual dexterity of hands and fingers to include frequent computer use for typing, accessing needed information, etc
