What We Do
Be part of a transformative team that is shaping the way First American builds and delivers world-class technology products that fuel the real estate industry. We’re looking for a hand’s on, collaborative leader to work with cross-functional teams of engineers, designers, data specialists and researchers to define and execute product initiatives across the company for Document Management Services (DMS).
As the leader of the DMS product team, you are expected to be an expert across the portfolio of products. You will have proven experience in developing product strategy and aligning product plans and requirements towards the execution of that strategy. You will also be highly skilled in delivering and selling that vision through all levels of management within the organization.

What You’ll Do:
- Define and drive product strategy/vision with clear, supportable objectives and long-term vision for your area of ownership.
- Own & communicate the product vision for your area of ownership. Guide the process for creating product roadmaps that balance the flexibility of Agile development with long-term planning needs of the org.
- Establish product priorities, align strategic objectives and oversee the management & optimization of workflows, meetings and the product feedback process.
- Craft KPIs & milestones for your team and products.
- Lead, mentor, and inspire a team of product leaders, fostering a culture of innovation and excellence.
- Own difficult conversations, act calmly, and maintain accountability. Create connections between pods and functional groups to resolve dependencies and project blockers. Actively share knowledge across teams.
- Invest in the professional growth of your team by identifying development opportunities, providing constructive feedback, and fostering a culture of continuous learning.
- Collaborate with cross-functional leaders to ensure product delivery and quality goals are achieved & maintained.
- Ensure that products meet high standards of quality and reliability before they are released to customers. Oversee testing strategies and gather user feedback to drive further improvements.
What You’ll Bring:
- Proven track record of developing and implementing results-driven business to business product strategies that have met or exceeded planned objectives.
- Demonstrated experience driving and facilitating product teams and product strategies including roadmaps and planning processes across new and existing product lines and customer segments.
- Demonstrated experience coordinating and analyzing market and competitive research to understand customer behavior, product satisfaction, and emerging business opportunities.
- Ability to execute on the product roadmap by providing direction to your product teams, the development team and other stakeholders on product evolution and priorities, ensuring that the experience gained from those market and competitive research activities is reflected in future product releases.
- Strong experience developing business case justification for new products/services or material changes in current products/services.
- Ability to translate product strategies into detailed requirements. Define high level requirements that encompass the entire customer experience.
- Ability to cultivate an agile and outcome-driven culture in which innovation and excellence are expected and supported by customer experiences that are intuitive and above expectations.
Requirements:
- 10+ years of product management experience with 7+ years of experience hiring, building, scaling and managing product management teams in high growth companies.
- Proven track record of innovation and launching features that achieve success and impact with a large user base.
- Expert business acumen and knowledge of root cause analysis and problem detection.
- Critical thinking/analytical leadership experience.
- Strong communication skills and presentation skills - need to be extremely comfortable presenting to internal executives and stakeholders and external customers and managing customer expectations.
- Demonstrated experience working with agile methodology on fast paced projects.
- Experience in the real estate, mortgage or settlement services industries is preferred.
- Product management experience in B2B SaaS is a plus.
Pay Range: $192,400 - $256,525 Annually
This hiring range is a reasonable estimate of the base pay range for this position at the time of posting. Pay is based on a number of factors which may include job-related knowledge, skills, experience, business requirements and geographic location.
