What You Will Do:

  • Plan the release of project deliverables and manage the release life cycle.
  • Communicate project-related tasks such as plans, timelines, and requirements between different teams.
  • Coordinate the release schedule and resources required, considering third-party applications, defect backlogs, planned releases, and infrastructure updates.
  • Identify and manage risks that could delay the release, ensuring the scope, schedule, and quality are not affected.
  • Track progress, identify issues, and continuously improve the release process.
  • Ensure releases are planned according to requirements and budget constraints.
  • Schedule release readiness reviews before deployment and milestone reviews after each release.
  • Create implementation and deployment plans as per the release schedule.
  • Provide weekly updates on release activities.
  • Ensure the allocation of Release Engineers to every release.
  • Communicate with release managers from different IT departments.
  • Lead Go-Live activities to deploy software successfully.
  • Collaborate with development teams responsible for building automation tools used to develop and deploy software.
  • Schedule CAB meetings to discuss release schedules with the team and identify roadblocks.
  • Maintain documentation related to build and release procedures, notification lists, and dependencies.
  • Improve methodologies used for configuration management and software development to enhance configuration management processes.
  • Analyze seasonal release critical updates, perform regression testing, and identify remediation.

What You Will Need:

  • Bachelor's degree or a minimum of 9 years of experience in lieu of a degree
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in release management, software development, or a related field.
  • Hands-on experience setting up and managing CI/CD pipelines for Salesforce using tools like Copado, Gearset, Flosum, or Autorabit.
  • Experience with version control systems like Git and understanding of branching and merging strategies.
  • Experience managing multiple Salesforce environments and sandboxes, including data seeding and data masking.
  • Proven track record of managing Salesforce releases, including metadata and data migrations.
  • Extensive experience in Salesforce development, including Apex, Visualforce, Lightning Components, and Salesforce APIs.
  • Strong Apex scripting skills to automate manual tasks as part of the DevOps pipeline.
  • Experience working in Agile development environments and participating in Agile ceremonies.
  • Experience with integrating Salesforce with other systems using REST/SOAP APIs.
  • Understanding of Salesforce security best practices and implementation.

What Would Be Nice To Have:

  • Salesforce Certified Platform Developer I/II.
  • Salesforce Certified Development Lifecycle and Deployment Architect.
  • Salesforce Certified Administrator.

The annual salary range for this position is $113,000.00-$188,000.00. Compensation decisions depend on a wide range of factors, including but not limited to skill sets, experience and training, security clearances, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs.
