About the Role:
Associate Director of Data Strategy and Delivery will lead the development and execution of data strategies that productize Carrier’s data assets sourced from complex digital ecosystem.
This role is responsible for designing and managing scalable, reusable, and standardized data products architecture that drives faster insights for Carrier’s business through AI and Analytics products. You will guide a team of data product managers, data modelers and analysts and work closely with solution architects, data engineers, and product teams to enable real-time analytics, process automation, and digital transformation initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
Driving data solutions that align with company goals and increase company efficiency.
Define and implement the enterprise data architecture and data product roadmap aligned with business and IT strategies.
Promote the use of industry standard data models such as Common Data Model, and Dimensional Models.
Drive design and creation of standardized and reusable data products sourcing data from variety of data producers such as ERP systems, CRM platforms, and data storage technologies.
Deliver trustworthy, easy discover, business-contexed and source-agnostics data to wide spectrum of data consumers such as AI models, Machine Learning use cases, Analytical Dashboards.
Evaluate and implement best practices for modern data architecture including 3rd Normal Form, facts and dimensions, SCDs, Star and Snowflake schemas.
Define and evolve the enterprise data strategy, ensuring alignment with the company’s cloud-first, data-driven architecture.
Provide delivery oversight to data discovery, data mapping and modeling and data program delivery.
Team Leadership & Execution
Lead and mentor a team of data product managers, data modelers and analysts setting clear priorities and development goals.
Collaborate with AI, analytics, solution architecture, platform, and data engineering teams to ensure data products are consistent, standardized, scalable and reusable.
Oversee the full lifecycle of data programs—from data discovery, data mapping and modeling to ongoing support to downstream engineering and analytics.
Operational Excellence & Governance
Partner with data governance, data cataloging, master data and metadata management, data security, and data quality teams to ensure data product architecture fits into each of these strategies.
Implement standards and naming conventions to ensure consistent implementation of data strategy.
Finance management, budgets, delivering within the approved budget.
Stakeholder management and engagement
Contribute to define and execute a strategy for implementing Data Strategy and Delivery operative or administrative functions, aligned with organizational goals.
Identify opportunities for process optimization and cultural transformation within cross-functional teams.
Champion Lean thinking across all levels, promoting a mindset of efficiency and continuous improvement.
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor's degree.
15+ years of experience in data & integration and software engineering roles.
10+ years of experience leading software engineering, architecture, data & integration teams.
10+ years of experience in delivering large to very large multi-year, multi-million-dollar technology programs.

Preferred Qualifications

Hands-on expertise in building and managing data products.
Strong grasp of Data Modeling and data profiling practices, including design of models of varied balances between normalization and denormalization.
Experience in working with SaaS and on-prem systems across ERP, CRM, HR, and financial domains.
Experience working with ERP, CRM, and cloud-native systems (e.g., SAP, Salesforce, Workday, AWS).
Strong background in building strategies through collaborative sessions in a matrixed organization.
Exposure to data lake or data mesh architectures and how integrations support these environments.
Hands on experience on Jira, Microsoft Office tools, Airtable.
Experience in Manufacturing domain with intermediate level proficiency in various manufacturing subdomains such as supply chain, engineering, and factory operations.
