Job description

We are looking for a Director of Finance who will own all areas of Accounting, as well as, Reporting, Budgeting, Treasury, Contracts, Tax and Compliance. This role will be responsible for the day-to-day Finance & Operations efforts and executing and managing all customer and vendor contracts and related commitments.

In this role you’ll get to:

Own the preparation of financial reports, compile financial statements, and ensure general compliance.
Manage the month end financial close process and ensure timely and accurate financial statements. Present monthly results to the senior leadership team.
Lead 1upHealth through internal & external reviews and audits including Big 4, HiTrust, SOC2 and GRC.
Manage annual and other tax return requirements; prepare tax schedules and answer tax inquiries.
Implement recommendations to improve and oversee adherence to accounting policies and procedures
Recognize business leverage of financial data and metrics to measure results and devise strategies for improvements.
Assist in annual budget planning across all departments.
Represent 1upHealth in an outward facing role with customers, contractors and vendors including working with sales to negotiate customer contracts
Execute on ad hoc projects

What we’re looking for:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, CPA a plus
Accounting experience in Big 4 Accounting or other large public accounting firm
Revenue recognition experience with enterprise contracts, SaaS experience, and/or ASC606
Ability to translate financial data into actionable insights and effectively communicate with cross-functional business leaders
