Sales Executive (B2B)- South India
Role Overview 

Part of Packt's mission is achieved through the sale of our content to Indian businesses. This is a successful part of the Packt business that we are looking to expand. We are looking for a Sales Executive to help research, identify and sell to academic institutions and universities across the South of India, build relationships with potential organisations, and to cultivate relationships with existing customers. We are looking for a sales executive who will be conscientious, proactive, and passionate, capable of taking the initiative, building lasting relationships, as well as rapidly converting centrally driven enquiries. 
Reporting to the Senior Partnerships & Sales Manager, you will research the B2B market in the South of India, generate new potential leads, and meet with institutions to sell access to Packt’s digital library of content. You will meet regularly with both potential and existing accounts, understanding, and recording their key challenges and requirements. The ideal candidate will have strong sales experience and have strong relational, written, and verbal communication skills.  
This role provides an excellent opportunity for an individual looking to move into a senior sales role and will provide the opportunity to build a high-performance team. Your enthusiasm, willingness to learn, and dedication will directly influence the adoption of our learning resources, expansion of our partners, and help shape the future of technology education. 


What You Will Do 

  • Develop and maintain relationships with large businesses to grow Packt's presence in the B2B market across India. 
  • Take complete ownership of the geography and Institutes allocated. 
  • Oversee the process of acquiring new partners, while collaborating with the product and businesses L&D team to expand the range of courses offered. 
  • Manage end-to-end renewal processes for existing partners, ensuring long-term collaboration and growth. 
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders within partners, including L&D managers and others. 
  • Attend relevant physical calls on site and regular follow up on leads 
  • Conduct market research to identify growth opportunities and introduce new training programs aimed at providing individuals with the skills and hands-on experience needed in today's digital landscape. 
  • Maintain strong networking and working relations with businesses and functional SMEs (Subject Matter Expert) to ensure timely engagement, transparency, and aligned decision-making. 
  • Stay informed about technology standards, guidelines, patterns, and the latest trends in the industry. 
  • Ready to travel as this profile may require spending time in the field and traveling locally. 

 

Who You Are

You will need strong oral and written communication skills, attention to detail, and excellent organization and time-management skills.   • Good knowledge of Publishing sales (STM) and job-oriented technology courses offered in India. 
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in business sales. 
  • Outstanding marketing, channel, relationship, and communication management skills. 
  • Entrepreneurial mindset, self-motivation, and a clear vision for leading and contributing to organizational growth. 
  • Understanding of technology and technical learning solutions. 
  • Results-oriented with the ability to work with senior business leaders. 
  • Excellent team player with strong relationship-building abilities. 
  • Exceptional time management skills; ability to meet deadlines. 
  • Ability to build effective relationships across the organization. 
  • Should possess an enterprising attitude, proactively seeking out new opportunities, overcoming challenges, and consistently aiming to exceed targets.
