Job Description
We are seeking a skilled and experienced SAP Retail Consultant to join our offshore team in India. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical and functional expertise in SAP Retail modules and will collaborate with global teams to deliver high-quality SAP implementations, support, and enhancements for our clients in the retail sector.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze client business processes in the retail domain and map them to SAP Retail solutions.
- Implement and configure SAP Retail modules, including SAP S/4 Retail, SAP MM, SAP SD and other related components.
- Provide end-to-end support for SAP Retail implementations, including blueprinting, configuration, testing, deployment, and post-go-live support.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (onshore and offshore) to deliver solutions that align with client goals and objectives.
- Identify and resolve technical and functional issues in SAP Retail processes.
- Perform system integration testing (SIT) and user acceptance testing (UAT) for SAP Retail solutions.
- Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for configurations, processes, and custom developments.
- Provide training and knowledge transfer to end-users and other team members.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and advancements in SAP Retail technologies and offer innovative solutions to improve business processes.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 3-4 years of experience in SAP Retail consulting, with a strong focus on offshore delivery.
- Hands-on experience in SAP IS-Retail modules, including Material Management (MM), Sales and Distribution (SD), and Forecasting and Replenishment (F&R).
- Proficiency in SAP configuration, business process mapping, and SAP interfaces (IDOCs, ALE, BAPIs).
- Strong knowledge of retail industry processes, such as merchandise management, pricing, promotions, planning, and inventory management.
- Experience in SAP S/4HANA Retail is highly desirable.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills with the ability to work independently.
- Proficiency in creating detailed documentation and technical specifications.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact effectively with global teams and clients.
- SAP Retail certification(s) is a plus.
Preferred Skills
- Experience working in an offshore delivery model.
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies.
- Knowledge of integration with third-party tools, such as Point-of-Sale (POS) systems, e-commerce platforms, and supply chain management tools.
- Understanding of FIORI apps and SAP UI5.
