This remote role is not tightly linked to a physical location and provides flexibility in where, when and how you accomplish your work. Job Summary
As the ACD, Content & Copywriting, you will act as Harley-Davidson’s lead copywriter and chief editor for editorial channels such as “The Enthusiast” magazine, while working collaboratively with an in-house design and Storytelling team to deliver groundbreaking work that will shape the future of the Harley-Davidson brand. You will shape the Harley-Davidson voice across all projects, mediums and campaigns in order to drive innovation, excellence, consistency and quality output that stands the test of time. Through your leadership and creative vision, Harley-Davidson’s communication and storytelling will drive brand desirability and maintain our position as the most desirable motorcycle brand in the world for generations to come.
You will directly manage a team of in-house and contracted copywriters and collaborate closely with a broader creative team that includes designers, producers, editors, photographers and videographers in driving brand storytelling, while also supporting the broader commercial objectives of the company.
Job Responsibilities
• Lead all copywriting and editorial content development for Harley-Davidson globally
• Challenge the status quo and inspire constant fresh thinking and innovation
• Drive creative and compelling brand storytelling
• Protect the brand identity, preserve the brand’s heritage and ensure brand consistency across all Harley-Davidson communication channels
• Lead all script development and voiceover production for brand and campaign content—owning the writing process from concept to final read. Collaborate closely with video editors, producers, and sound partners to guide VO direction, casting, and recording. Support the music selection process to ensure audio tone aligns with brand storytelling.
• Work with cross-functional partners to support the communication needs of all business units throughout Harley-Davidson, ensuring alignment on deliverable quality and creative direction
• Ensure budgets and timelines are met, while maintaining excellence in the quality of work
• Lead the future of omnichannel, editorial storytelling at Harley-Davidson via “The Enthusiast” magazine and owned digital and social media channels
• Support the growth and development of an inspired team with a culture based on ambition, openness, trust and collaboration
• Develop and manage relationships with external creative partner expertise when required
Education Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree Required – preferably in Creative Writing or Journalism
Experience Requirements
• This job typically requires a minimum of 8 years of experience as a copywriter and/or journalist or other relevant experience
• A portfolio featuring a wide range of creative and integrated campaigns, a diversity of ideas and approaches to problem solving
• Experience leading copywriting and editorial content across a variety of disciplines and channels is preferred
• Deep knowledge of the creative process and what it takes to lead a creative team in delivering world-class communications and storytelling
• Strong communication and presentation skills

The pay range shown represents the national average pay range for this role. Your pay may be more or less than the stated range and is dependent on your geographic location and level of experience.
