Job Overview:
We’re seeking an experienced Hardware Delivery Manager to lead our hardware and firmware product development initiatives. This role is crucial in bridging the gap between product vision and technical execution, ensuring successful delivery of high-quality products from concept to
mass production. The ideal candidate will bring deep technical expertise, strong leadership skills, and a proven track record of bringing complex products to market.
Responsibilities:
Product Development Leadership
Partner with Product Management to translate product vision into comprehensive technical requirements and detailed project plans
Develop and maintain Engineering Requirements Documents (ERD) based on Product Requirements Documents (PRD)
Lead cross-functional engineering teams through all phases of product development, from concept to mass production
Drive technical decision-making while ensuring alignment with business objectives and market requirements
Technical Program Management
Establish project schedules, milestones, and resource allocation plans
Coordinate development activities across hardware, firmware, software, and QA teams
Identify and manage technical risks, implementing mitigation strategies as needed
Lead technical reviews and design validation processes
Ensure compliance with quality standards and regulatory requirements
Manufacturing and ODM Management
Build and maintain strong relationships with Asian ODMs
Oversee prototype development, EVT, DVT, and PVT phases
Drive manufacturing process optimization and yield improvements
Manage ODM communications and deliverables
Ensure product quality meets or exceeds specifications
Process Improvement
Implement and optimize development processes to increase efficiency
Establish metrics and KPIs to track project progress and team performance
Drive continuous improvement initiatives across engineering operations
Document best practices and lessons learned for future programs
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field; Master’s degree preferred
15+ years of product development experience, with emphasis on hardware and firmware Demonstrated success in bringing multiple products from concept to mass production
Deep technical understanding of hardware design, firmware development, and manufacturing processes
Extensive experience working with Asian ODMs
Strong project management skills with PMP certification preferred
Excellence in cross-functional team leadership and stakeholder management
